Just wondering how many people had a first gen as their first truck, or automobile in general (like myself).

I had my 02 Tacoma at 19 as my first pickup but had a '90 Montero and an '89 4Runner before buying the Tacoma. Now I have had a 94 FZJ80, 97 4Runner and my 05 Tacoma.

I drove an '89 4x4 extended cab from 1994-2016, replacing it with a new Sport access cab when repairs were more than I wanted to deal with.

I loved my old truck and it is now well loved by a deserving teenager who lives up in the local mountains.

I did. The reason why I love them so much.

Had a 2001 Acess Cab Prerunner in high school. Sold it for what I bought it for after 4 years of driving it when I went off to college.

I had an '01 SR5 that I bought in 2009. Put 120,000 miles on that bad boy before I got my '15.

    I do. I love it!
It's such an amazing little truck

Currently out of service for maintenance, tune ups and some mods here and there, but will be back on the road soon. Can't wait to drive it again

I had an 01 TRD extend cab for 10 years. That was the first new vehicle I bought. Got it right out of college. Man was I proud of that truck. Times changed, kids came along, and so did the four door.

Had a 98 AC cab 4cyl 4x4 auto. Bought it with about 35,000 sold it with 170000 to my brother in law.
He just got rid of 2 yrs ago with almost 300k when the frame rusted out.
It still had orginal engine and trans never gave him a prob.

Next was a 2000 AC cab 4cyl 4x4 auto got it with 50k, toyo bought it back when the frame was shot 150k.

Loved the 1st gens but in NJ so hard to find because of the frame rusting

Only thing that they needed was a rear door fro the AC cab

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
My first vehicle was a 1980 Jeep CJ-5, had a lot of fun in that little death trap! Rolled it three different times, usually showing off with my friends and we'd all jump out, push it back on all four and keep on going!

Wow, I feel out of place especially since I have a first generation now. My old 99 Tacoma is like my seventh vehicle. First car was a 1986 Mustang GT. It was kind of a pile of shit.
