How many miles on your 2nd Gen?

Working on it. I've been busy with family, school, and church I haven't been able to get around to it.

 

05 Tacoma Base model. 250,000 miles and I have a slight oil leak and my radiator is leaking... currently getting that replaced. I'm not knowledgeable enough to do it myself. I'm convinced if I fix the issues I'm having now that this thing will easily last me 5 years without any other major issues. But I've had U joint replacement, wheel bearing replacement. Other than the leaks she runs like a champ now. She is showing a catalytic converter code too but no issues with performance so I'll just get that fixed sometime after I get new tires on her...if I do indeed have an issue there. Put alot of work into my old Taco...but they are such reliable trucks if you take care of them that I think I can easily get another 5-8 years out of her. Put about 10,000 a year on it. And she's paid off so I'm all in on trying to make her last. Just got a new radiator installed and mechanic told me I actually do not have an oil leak...so we all good

 

Last month reached 200K. Driver’s side power lock in its second year of ownership failed, and blower motor a few months ago. Great truck!

 

Bought new in Jan 2009. No issues other than bad injector coil around 100k. Otherwise just normal wear items.

I hope that's because you want to save the Tacoma because it's your favorite and not the Datsun.

 

Purchased new 2009 Extended Cab Base with 2.7L with 1.7 miles on it. Now 261K miles, no major issues until recently. Had to replace coolant bypass pipe last weekend, fun job. This weekend however, got stranded due to crank, no start issue and had to get it towed home. Swapped fuel pump relay with horn relay and it cranked right up today. Glad to have it back running. Loaded up a tool kit to have if needed. Was caught off guard with no tools or diagnostic equipment.

 

2015 AC base+ 4x4 2.7, auto trans. I got it almost 3 years ago, I'm at 123K on it, It took a LF wheel bearing last week, that was the 1st major repair since I've had it. I did front rotors/pads and swapped in a 3rd gen TRD OR suspension when I got it, the original coli overs and rear shocks/leaf springs were shot.

 

2014 with 59k.

 

2009 with 202,300

bought used in '13 with 53k

only "problem" so far was a busted AC condenser. Naturally, it happened in August during the 100 deg summer heat

2013 95k miles

I was putting on 18-20k a year consistently for the first few years but that came to a screeching halt in 2019 when I started working from home full time. Now most of its heavy lifting use is saved for occasional road trips.

New to me 2008 4cyl 5spd has 268K on it so far. Intending to get at least 3y 60K more out of it, but hoping for much more.

 

Purchased new in January 2006. Currently sits at 186,700. No major mechanical issues other than maintenance items. Had the frame replaced about 6 years ago under the recall. Only issue is that my clear coat started bubbling this past winter and now it is peeling up on my hood and roof.

 

2013 Bought new, now has 124K on it...nothing major ever has gone wrong..standard MX things, and she runs like the day I bought her

 

I got my 2011 SR5 from a relative in Oct2019 with 39k. It up to 73k now. I got a used color matched shell last month and I'm ready to keep this baby for another 200-300k.
