    Was it the left rear?
That’s the one that likes to leak.

It looks to me like something used to be welded to that frame and has been removed. You can see the welds all along the frame, both high and low, which isn't how it left the factory. Perhaps someone removed rock sliders and the painted frame. Might be worth asking the seller.

Yep. Looked like the lip of the seal was riding in the groove between the spacer sleeves on the axle. When I installed the new seal I purposely didn't push it in all the way. It's spaced out a little and makes better contact on a better surface. It's been good ever since

A bit of an outlier here, 2010 with 45k. Need to replace the belt tensioner due to internal clicking noise and sounds like a wheel bearing is on the way out.

Just about to hit 200000km (124000 miles). I've had to replace the blower motor resistor, drive belt pulleys, clock spring, and front left cv, oil seal and needle bearing.

The needle bearing went when after I put third gen suspension on the front, with just 1/4" spacers, believe it or not. The cv axle replacement was a result of driving on the bad needle bearing for about a year, so that was on me.

Oh, and I have oil seeping from one of my valve covers, so valve cover gaskets coming soon. I haven't experienced this legendary toyota reliability that people talk about.

2013 - 111xxx miles and the only necessary maintenance that’s been required outside of unnecessary modding has been the replacing of a single battery and that of the magnetic clutch relay (had the dreaded blinking AC light dilemma), replaced the relay, and good to fudging go!

66K on the 2012 DCSB, truck is seriously like brand new.
325K on the 4Runner when I sold it, everything still worked, and it was a trail rig also.
    134K on the 2014 AC.

2015 with 47K on it. 35K when I bought it 18 months ago. Nothing but scheduled maintenance. I might need to do front brakes at the next oil change but we'll see.

Doubt you'll need front brakes that soon. Always a good idea to take a look at 'em though.

2014 4.0 I got her in March of this year with a little over 95k, took a vacation to NC and maybe, by the end of the month she will hit 98k.

My repairs or things I did is too long to mention, pretty much i just need to do the transmission drain and fill’s and also the brake fluid needs changed, everything else I pretty much did to her for maintenance wise according to the second gen thread.

Taken this morning on the way home from picking up my camper over in Yakima. Yes, I know I need an oil change, lol. Bought new in October 2011.

Blower fan replaced within first year of ownership. Original battery made it over 7 years. Alternator died in the last year. Replaced front brake pads... twice? Rear pads for drums replaced last year during a re-gear, transmission fluid change, T-fer case fluid change. Did plugs once, have another set waiting to go in... Think that's about all I've done to it for "maintenance" like stuff. Bzillion other mods though, haha.
