I have only ran them for about 5k miles so far but I talked to several different people that got between 30k-40k out of them which is pretty good. Hopefully I get the same. They have road noise but I don't mind it. My exhaust is already kinda noisy. I only paid $600 mounted and balanced so I get what I pay for. They have a very aggressive look.

As for the boat weight + trailer weight I'm guessing no more than 2500lbs.

Where did you get those at? The Federals on my car were fantastic. I wouldn't mind giving them a try. And for 600, thats hard to beat.

I bought them here in California at a local tire shop but I found them all over the Internet for close to the price I paid.

It handles it only "OK". I am definitely not pushing it beyond its limits, but it does struggle to get up hills with this kind of weight.

The only thing I'd really recommend outside of the obvious stuff of tow in 4th if you're an auto (2nd gen), would be that sometimes you'll want 4LO to pull it out of a launch. I did it fine in 2HI, but I could tell it was just spinning the torque converter without me going anywhere until I really got into it a little. It's just much easier on the transmission to do it in 4LO (after you do all the turning and positioning... Once you pull the boat out, before you start turning, pop it back into 2HI)

Fair enough. Thanks for the input. By chance are those the original tires that came with your truck?

No. They're take-offs from a Jeep. 265/76/16, same size most people run with stock suspension. Just happened to be on a Jeep that I gutted for 40s and they were laying around.

How about carrier bearing issues? Have you had any issues so far? Especially towing that kind of weight?

Haven't done it often enough to cause any issues. It's a new boat to me, so too soon to tell.

Fair enough. And thanks for the reply. I just figured 33k is a little low to have carrier bearing issues. Soon to find out of cpo will cover it or not.

I thought CPO covers "driveline"... I am unsure if it'll count, but if it were me I'd argue that it's definitely a part of the driveline because of how it supports the driveshaft.

Unfortunately drivetrain, and driveline are completely separate. However, it was sold as a cpo truck. But the dealership failed to mention that in our contract. So I talked to Toyota care. Waiting on a response. Hoping for the best.

At the dealership now. Will update when done. On a side note, if anyone is looking for a trd cat back, Jay Wolfe is the cheapest I've found.

1 st Gen TRD Supercharger. URD 7th Inj. Camburg 4x4 LT Kit. Tundra Brakes. 3rd Gen just get’n started, OME BP51 Dakar HD, Camburg UCA & various armor.
I just started hauling a 19’ aluminum boat with the 17 OR. Had the RTT on. ( I have winch, bumper, sliders and bed rack.) seemed to work just fine for me. Definetly not a dedicated tow rig. I cruised at 70 mph on interstate and still had power to pass semi trucks.
