With the 2018's now hitting the lots I figured it's time to start the thread. I am looking to purchase a 2018 Tacoma Off Road DCSB 4x4 AT with the Premium Off Road and Technology package options anytime between now and the end of the year or so. I'm patient and willing to hunt far and wide to get a great price for the specific truck specs I'm looking for.

Let's hear what some of you are paying, ordering, or getting quoted at for the new 2018's.

Can't tell by researching on the Toyota website (granted it's only showing 2017's on their website currently). Are the 2018 Off Roads coming with LED headlights? I assume so, but the Limited specifically calls it out and the Sport and OR say nothing about it. My wife's car has them and the ability to see is so much better, it's something I'll definitely want with my next purchase.

I think they come with just LED daylight running lights only. Main headlights are not yet LED, from what I understand. I may be wrong, though.

So far for 2018 costs I have only seen MSRP dealer printouts, but I haven't gone into full hardcore truck-hunting mode with multiple dealers and started negotiating. Some people have already negotiated their price and are awaiting delivery.

I’d be interested to hear if anyone’s even able to negotiate a lower msrp on certain models secondary to demand. At least right as these come out. I could’ve waited maybe six months and negotiated something lower but just decided to pull the trigger. This is what I’m paying and that’s with a connection to the manager.

Bummer. If that's the case, I'll most likely wait another year. Between that and the terrible entune, Toyota needs to catch up.

I’m interested too, in the market next year so I’ll keep an eye. Not sure if I’ll get a 17 or 18.

I've got a $500 deposit down on my 2018 TRD Offroad crew cab V6 Auto In cement without the tech Package. I was quoted 37,300 plus tax and lic.
Thats basically $225 off msrp if you count the floor mats they are throwing in for free Lol.
I know it's not a deal but it' what I want and have been saving for along time so I'm stoked.
    Should be here about January.

I spoke to a dealer about an off-road , double cab short bed with tech and premium package—- msrp is 41,572 (includes tonneau cover). He said price would be 38,934.

That sounds like a fair deal (better than mine). None of the dealers around here want to order them without the extra packages unless you commit. I guess the feel like they will sell faster with the tech Package. Probably right.

I was just trying to find the info what was included in the tech package again. I forget. Wonder if I need it. I think I was getting it for the matching rear bumpers... don’t like the chrome. I do want the leather for sure.

I'm just debating when to start sending out emails to dealers for price quotes for the specific model and options I want. Should I wait another 4-6 weeks more for more inventory and end of year wheeling and dealing?

Probably not going to be alot of end of year dealing on 18' Maybe a little more than they currently are discounting the 17'.
Depends on your area I guess.

I know 3 people personally that own 16' and a 17' and from what they'e told me I' have to drive quite a few hours away to get any real discount. They just sell too well in the Bay area. :(

Cudaguy, where do they tell you to purchase to get a good discount? I have been hearing Freeman Toyota in Santa Rosa. I'm planning on a 2018 purchase by the end of the year.

    Couple of questions for others
    1) When you put a deposit down for a 2018, is the final price already negotiated for the build you are requesting?
    2) I keep hearing the best time to get a good price is at the end of the month. If you purchase a truck that the dealer does not have on the lot but has to place an order for, does that apply to their end of the month quota? Or is it until you get delivery?

Quick question: What does the "P" and "O" mean in the chart below?

I have a deposit down on a TRDOR DCSB MT w/ Tech package. I wanted both Tech and Premium but the guy at the dealership said first that he couldn't order the packages together and now that there's not a Premium option. I think he might be misinformed. I'm weighing whether to grab the non-Premium which will be here in January, or hunting for a Premium addition. Since the MT doesn't come with JBL the only things I can't add after market on my own are the moon roof (I've heard pro's and con's) and the dual AC. Don't know that any is a deal breaker. Also don't know what the Premium would cost.

    Option

For the Manual Transmission Off Road Double Cab Model 7545 there are two packages:
TRD Off Road Premium Package MSRP $1920 (Leather, Sunroof, Dual AC, No JBL Audio, Etc.)
Technology Package MSRP $770 (BSM, Rear Sonar, Etc.).

This is from the documents found on Toyota's site last week.
