Man..same here. I have several quotes on 4X4 sports but now that I realize that when I had my old '02 Prerunner (2 wheel), I drove that thing to hell and back and never wished or needed 4x4. During winter, I just had big winter tires and with chains over Tahoe/Reno area, never an issue. I don't do any serious mudding etc and out here in NCAL, it's just rain/dirt in winter.

It's almost a 4k price difference too between 2 wheel and 4 wheel. Plus I already own a GMC Denali (4x4).

For bragging rights and the 4X4 decal, its sounds good but my wallet is saying otherwise..LOL.

$28.5k for my 4x4 SR5 Access Cab. MSRP was $33k and the guy wouldn't go below $31k until I said I'll just go to another dealer and use the Costco program lol. SoCal prices suck and I needed the truck ASAP, but I'm happy with the deal that I got.

$28,415.00 before TTL for 2018 SR5 DCSB V6 without Tonneau and without steps, had mud guards and Carpet Mats only......about 4,000 less than MSRP. Bought Tonneau and Running Boards and Bed Mat on my own and save $$$.

The deals are there, granted I picked mine up at the end of July which is a good time to buy. Sticker was $38,880 before some additional equipment I requested for another $300.00 = $39,180.00.
My cost before down payment/trade/taxes/fees and so on was $33,200 for a DCLB TRD Off-Road in black. Despite some colors being hard to come by, I have seen deals on all colors including PROS. I will say, it was known by me and anyone I spoke to for years that you don't get discounts on Tacoma's (Maybe $1-1,500K at best) especially the desirable models e.g. TRD OR & TRD PRO and proved that wrong.

Yea, I had to be practical. It is always nice to have it when you need it but chances of me actually using it are to slim to pay the extra.

I forgot to mention I bought mine on aug 31st- unknowingly that seems prime time to buy or get the best deals too. I didn’t know this going, much less expect to drive off the lot that day

You can call them at 1-800-755-2519, give them your zip, and they'll tell you what dealers participate in Costco's car buying service. They won't give you the price over the phone; you'll have to go into the dealer for that but it's a pretty simple process.

Found his post here... That $500 MAX TAX is craZy in my state I paid over $2K in taxes..then again maybe my property tax is lower..

    Huckle:
South Carolina residents have a max of $500 for sales tax on vehicle purchases. This applies whether the resident makes a purchase in South Carolina or a surrounding state. I live in South Carolina and bought the truck at Milton Ruben Toyota in Augusta Georgia.

Looking at a 2018 DCSB OR MT in Cement with Tech and Premium packages (and misc. small things) at $38,777 MSRP. Arrived at $35,490 sale price(including cash rebate) and OTD at $38,250. I got a USAA car buying service price for a 2018 DCSB OR MT in Dark Gray Metallic with Tech package at $37,040 OTD. So, I don't feel bad about the price especially because I really wanted the premium package and Cement color. Buying in Idaho and taking it back to California. How'd we do?

Property taxes are also insanely low in SC. Moving from pa I about shit when I found out how cheap cost of living and taxes are down here compared to up north. Rough idea, 2400 sq ft house, 2100 sq ft 35x60 5 car garage on 5.5 acres and it’s under 1500 bucks a year in property taxes haha.

Tonight I picked up a 2018 DCSB in Cement auto w/tech package for $35500 MSRP was $41669. Optional items included were Tonneau cover, bed step, TRD shift knob, TRD exhaust, TRD air filter, TRD front skid plate, all-weather mats, D-rings, predator tube steps and mudguards. I don't exactly how good of a deal I received but I'm happy with it. Thanks to this thread I was able to find this forum!

Picked up a 2018 DCSB in White, auto trans with technology package for $35,622. Came with predator side steps, floor mats, d rings, black tail gate letters, some Zaktek paint protection (is this just BS?), molding & door handle protection (assume these are the tiny little strips of film behind the door handles?), and "deluxe tint". The last three items were dealer add ons. Purchased from Camelback Toyota.

MSRP was $39,042, and dealer suggested price was $40,388 with the paint protection nonsense and "deluxe tint".

Thanks everybody for all of the prior posts about how much they paid. It helped me negotiate down the price I paid.

Hi All, i think this may be my first post..... Been lurking for a bit....

I put an offer on a 2018 TRD Off Road Access Cab (automatic). Comes with the tech package and a few other goodies (floor liners, mudguards, etc).
MSRP is $37,800, and I negotiated the price to $33,500 (about $37,400 out the door). From what i've gathered on this thread, this seems like a pretty decent deal? Thoughts?

Today I am to pick up a 2018 TRD Sport 4DR 3.5 V6 2WD in Quicksand with the Tech package, just of the boat and out the port to the dealer. MSRP w fees and other nonsense brought the estimated price to 36K. I worked a deal down to 31K, got about 9k for my 2005 Tundra TRD 4x4 with 100k miles on it in KBB Good condition. Had no parking brake and backing plates were virtually gone in the rear, northern truck with a rusty frame. Looked new above the frame. I am walking out the door all fees and taxes for 24.8k and that truck. I feel like I am getting a pretty good deal.

I had a cement dcsb OR4x4 shipped to the dealership near me from "some other dealership". No tech package nor premium. But they said there were 3 left in the state. So, essentially I felt like I had no bargaining power with it. I put $1,000 on having it shipped here, but haven't signed anything yet. Planning on trying to work the OTD price down some because it was ~$42,000. Any advice? Is there bargaining power here? I've never bought a new car before, so this is all new terrain for me.

Depends on if you lose the grand deposit if you don't make a deal. If so, might be difficult to bargain. Probably help to find a quote or advertised price on a similarly equipped truck within a few hundred miles and ask them to match.
