10% off MSRP is the minimum you should be looking for, so depending on the options on the truck, 4500 could be an awesome deal.

I usually compare percent off MSRP. At least 10% as mentioned above, but higher is possible. Also consider doc fees and dealer add ons. I think mine was 11% off MSPR, which was only $4200 off, but included doc fee and dealer add on junk (pin stripping, some warranty items, etc.).

    Hello Taco owners,

I've currently been emailing my local dealerships as well as went into a few to check out and negotiate on a new 2018 DCSB TRD OR 4x4 with tech pack. The lowest I've been quoted for after 2 weeks is $33,200 for the truck, $36,500 OTD with the truck being MSRP'd at $38300. That's $3,300 in taxes and fees for SoCal.
I've tried getting the truck for $35K OTD at a couple locations but my attempts were unsuccessful, that would put the truck about $32K before taxes/fees.

My question to you guys is, Could this truck be had for lower? Anything I can do for further savings on the price? Has anyone been able to get the $1000 cashback and financing in socal?
I'm not sure if I'm over haggling or not haggling enough.
Also a lot of these socal dealers do not want to budge on their taco prices.

Any opinions are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Better take that deal on the 18 before they are all gone. You won’t get that deal on 19 until around July/August next year.

    100% correct

I kept stalling and suddenly I couldn’t find any 2018 TRD OR in Cement. And the discounts were horrible on 2019

That's a really good price on a cement 4x4 OR.

I’m having a bitch of a time finding the truck I want. The dealerships in San Diego suuuuuuck. I’m strongly considering getting my truck from NorCal (Freeman - they were super nice and gave me what I think is a good price quote) since I’m up there a bunch for work anyway and driving it back. Stupid Question...do you think it’s bad for the truck to immediately put 500 freeway miles on a new engine?

I got mine from the Autonation in Cerritos for invoice and I'm pretty sure you could easily get it even lower if you aren't pressed for time like I was.

15% off MSRP sounds like a fantastic deal already. But wow, taxes and fees are outrageous in California! Just paid tag, tax, etc. in Oklahoma on my new one this week, $1625 for everything.

That’s an awesome deal! I got mine for about 34,200 at the end of August. I’d take that in a heart beat

Just joined the Taco club after driving a 4Runner for 10 years. I purchased a 2018 TRD Off-Road 4x4 DCSB with premium and tech packages (+predator steps, all weather mats, paint film, iPhone cables, and Toyoguard platinum). MSRP $43,135. Purchased for Costco Auto price of $38,280 (before Tax and fees) in Georgia.

When I was looking around I got the best quotes from Longo out of the SoCal dealers. But Freeman in Santa Rosa had even better pricing.

I’ve been haggling with a couple dealers in OR. Which one did you go through?

Picked up a 2018 Toyota Tacoma SR last weekend. MSRP was $25,708.

    Base price: $22,916.42
    Title/License: $188.00
    Sales Tax: $1301.71
    Doc Fee: $150.00

    Total OTD: $24,556.13

Nearly $2,800 off of MSRP wasn't bad. This didn't even include the $1,000 rebate. I instead took the lower APR offer.
