So my dealer told me you can either get the cash back OR Toyota apr, but they said they can check other banks banks for a better APR and if you do that you can still get the cash rebate.

So I got the cash back $1000, and they found me a bank at something like 3.3%, which was actually lower than the "special" Toyota financing. So you can get both if they can find you a non-toyota bank with a good rate.

Fwiw, if you have AAA check with them too cause they have good rates for members.

Jebus, they wanted that thing off the lot... that's a 17% discount without a Toyota $1,500 cashback... since you took the finance.
Am I recalling correctly that they dropped the I4 in SR5 form for 2019?

EDIT - realized this could be read wrong... No Knocks on the vehicle - Great deal for you!
Dealers don't fret the cashback, as it's not out of their pocket, and it's conditional (cashback/low finance)... which is why we always ask for prices before trade-ins, conditional incentives, etc. It should be the top line on your sales agreement - Selling Price.

Well, I had my '15 Taco TRD Sport totaled, so I got an '18 Taco TRD Off Road to replace it, but this time it's the long bed, which is what I really wanted. I got mine at $36,787. Just ordered a pair of running boards and tonneau cover for it. The height looks/feels just a tad lower than my '15 Taco TRD Sport for some reason. And now, my garage can't fit it anymore. If only the garage is 10 inches longer, it will fit. Oh well, you take the good with the bad.

    Congrats! What color?
What tonneau did you go with? About to order mine, but looking at options... I was pretty happy with the North Mountain roll-up, but want to make sure I don’t miss a better option.

I went to a local place called RadCo to have both the running boards and tonneau cover installed. They need to order both, so they will call me to drop off the Taco for installation. The cover is also a roll-up version, but I'm not sure what brand of tonneau cover it is, but the guy helping said it's a widely used one. My truck is a metallic gray in cover. Will post some pictures when I have some time. It's a very pretty Taco. I'm just in love with it. And who can blame me?! LOL!!!

Welcome to the MGM family! Depending on price quoted, either a Tyger or Truxedo likely. Post up in the MGM thread. Enjoy!

I’ve got a dealership in AZ down to $36,200 and I’m holding out $35,000. They keep trying to factor in their state tax to the price and I keep saying no, I’ll pay them in my own state (TX) when I register the vehicle. Am I wrong on this? I don’t mind paying the AZ state tax since it’s a bit cheaper than Texas, but I don’t want to be double taxes in any sort of way.

I thought sales tax was paid based on where the vehicle will be registered. That's the way it works here in NJ anyway. They tried charging me (accidentally or on purpose, not sure) NY sales tax which is a bit more.

I'm having the same problem here in Northern NJ/ Southern NY State. Like 5-7%. And that's even on 2018s or 2019s. And this is by far not my first new Toyota purchase, and I don't look or sound stupid or have "screw me" tattooed on my forehead.. I even sold new Toyotas years ago. I'm looking for a 4x2 DCSB. Probably better to wait until late December.

This is my new love, folks. Dark metallic gray. Nothing fancy yet because it's still missing the running boards and tonneau.
