Thats an awesome deal! Yeah the only thing this had was the step boards or rails (whatever you wanna call them). No floor mats or nothing... I plan to shop around some more before I pull the trigger. My goal is to pay no more than $34,000 OTD and I plan to put down $10,000...

That’s a stretch with 24xx in taxes to get the 34k OTD, but not impossible. It all depends on how long the truck was on the lot and how badly they want to make a deal. This early in the month I don’t know that you’ll be able to get there.

Gotcha... I know this truck has been on the lot for 2+ months.

Keep shopping. BTW the street value of the steps is $200 if you want to add them.

I'd be trying to get closer to 15% off. Right now they have you just over 10.3% off MSRP. 15% would be slightly over $5,800 off, so as others have said, shoot for another 1k.

Oh, and absolutely do not pay the $100 "Government" fee unless they can prove that by law there is a fee you must pay in your state. Same with the document fee. In my area the "negotiable" document fee is $150. $599 is nothing other than extra dealer profit.

Should these prices you guys are seeing apply to leasing also? Or this is just for purchasing

Purchase only. Leasing is an entirely different beast.

Yes, except you need to check to see whether any rebates from Toyota apply to leasing. Sometimes they only apply to purchases.
Not exactly true. When negotiating a lease, you're still negotiating the dealer discount. It usually doesn't matter from the dealer's perspective whether you buy or lease, barring an incentive on the back end from a bank they're working with or the manufacturer.

Aside from that, just make sure they're giving you the base money factor and not marking it up (dealers mark up the money factor just like they mark up finance rates). The residual is set by the bank and isn't a negotiable item (either Toyota financial services or a third-party bank like U.S. Bank).

Sale price is decent, could be 500-1000 lower. Like others have said to let them you wont pay the lame "fees" they added.

Around here its very difficult, sometimes not possible, to get the dealers to discount more than 10%. I agree that the sale price isn't bad, But that DOC fee IS ridiculous. They won't eliminate it, so either offer to pay $199 (which I've seen in many dealerships) or negotiate it off on the MSRP end.

Also, join a Credit Union. Toyota quoted me 4.7% loan rate and a local credit union says they offer 1.9%.

(I haven't bought yet. Dealers are not where I want to be just yet)

When I walked out the dealership in Elk Grove CA some weeks ago, the discounted pricing was off leasing OR purchase (up to me what option to take). I walked in with another dealer quote and didn't mention anything about financing but had them do a price match first. Then I brought up the leasing/financing off that discounted price (the TF rebate was applied on the lease as well). Leasing was $408/month for a 4x4 OR shortbed with $990 down.

I didn't bite cos I felt guilty to have a new car payment considering I just paid off my X5 3 months ago and enjoying the "no car payment" ride right now.

Bought my 2018 DCLB TRD OR with all weather floor mats, door sill protectors wheel locks bed step and a few other goodies for 34XXX before taxes in California. MSRP was 39,985 so about 12% off msrp im happy with it. Drove about 250 miles to get it.

2019 Tacoma Off Road DCSB w/ Tech and Off road premium. $40,250 OTD. Is this a good deal? I think so as I was quoted $40,448 for a 2018 with the same packages.

If it is OTD price, then truck price is like $36,500. Good deal considering 2019 with premium

I have been quoted 2019 OR DCSB with Tech pkg at 35000, or 1k below invoice

No idea, OTD varies from state to state due to different tax/fees. Post the sale price and we will know more.

I'm seeing a lot of the Double Cabs in my area with Tech and Premium Packaged listed at around $41/$42K MSRP.

I told my salesman the other day that for that kind of money, people could just spend a bit more and get a PRO at MSRP.

I think $42K for an OR or Sport is too damn much. Now I do realized those trucks can probably be had for $36/$37K with a little negotiation.

I bought a new 2018 dcsb trd Offroad 6 spd manual transmission today. It was pretty much a base model, but included the door sill protectors, rubber mats, black tube bars, trd shift knob, and chrome exhaust tip (things I really didn’t want, as they drove the msrp up about $900).
Msrp was $36657, I paid $33267 plus tax and license. That included the $1000 rebate. I probably could have done better if I had the time and patience. I walked in to the dealer and drove out a couple hours later.
I really didn’t feel like traveling for a truck, and there were only three of these inferno manual transmission double cab trd offroads out of about 750 Tacomas in the area. Because 2018 was the last year for this color I felt like I needed to jump on the deal I got.CC2B1CC2-C8E7-4F7F-857F-11C3C9C93AF3.jpg
