I flipped it down, and put it toward drivers side window (like you do to block sun), and if you look at the post that goes in the hole, and you look at the passenger one, you can see it isn’t in all the way. I grabbed the side of it, and pushed up on it while moving back and forth. I used passenger side for reference. Did it this morning. If it comes out again, I’m going to make them order me a new one. Push up on visor, where you see my hand, and move it back and forth. It’s about 1/2 inch out of hole. It will move into the right place. It just bothered me. Felt like I bought a Fiat.

I bought my 2018 Offroad quicksand 4x4 V6 w/ stainless steel exhaust tip, all 3 rear window privacy glass, film protection on side mirror, door handles, and parts of the rocker panel for the Distributor's market sales price ($39,100) without TTL. Reason:
-The only quicksand color in 100 mi radius for Offroad (2018 offroad came standard w/ towing package which was why I wanted the OR instead of sports) (avg range in area: $38k-$42k)
-MSRP was $37,8xx, invoice (including fees and dealer add-ons) $38,500, distributor market price: $39,100, dealer asking price: $40,100.
    -I had a trade-in (2008 Silverado 2wd crew cab)

After so many vehicles (9 vehicles in the past 6 yrs), dealing with dealerships, and knowing friends and family that worked at dealerships before; I kind of learned how they operate nowadays. Basically, they wanted to give me $10K for my silverado which was the fair value because I had stuff not working on it (locks and windows were not working properly/intermittent and I had a big dent on side of my bed above the wheel well). What I ended with after negotiation:
    -Trade-in: $14k
    -free front window tints
-They pay half on SunTek or Xpel film protection on any combination (I just got the partial hood, partial front side fenders, full bumper, and grille trim)
-1.5% lower rate on my loan. (had pre-approved loan which I thought was pretty low interest rate before I came in and told them to beat it which I knew they would try cause its better for them)
-All I said was I would pay for the distributor market price since its looks better on their books

Tech package, premium, no JBL and no leather trim. I’m going to order Wet Okale Seat Covers this week, and our TRD graphic on Seat Covers, like I did on my 2005 Tacoma
Picture of my 2005 Tacoma. I still have it. Didn’t trade it in.

    2018 TRD Sport double cab
    6sp manual
    Premium package
    Tech Package
Some doo-dads added on (knob, mats, mudguards, etc)
One of 3 showing in the region with that configuration.

    MSRP: $38,900
    Their final offer was: $36,600+TTL

Reading up on here, I think I could do better.

    Thoughts?

I was at $36,128 (including destination fee) for the OR version of what you have.. mud guards, mats, sill protectors, exhaust tip, and tonneau cover in Boston, MA with very minimal negotiation. So you should be able to do a little better.

Edit: I assume double cab.. you didn't specify.

Thanks for your quick reply! Greatly appreciated since it’s hard to find people’s experiences with similar configuration. ...and when you do, it could always be muddied by trade in or finance ends of the deal.

This one had all those extras minus the tonneau.

Did you end up getting one? Thanks again.

Yes I bought it. They actually 'ordered' it, meaning they swiped it from the allocation pool before it was built. Took a few weeks, but I got it when it arrived. The tonneau is an expensive option.. $6xx, so you should be able to get close to $36k, especially at the end of the month! Best of luck. It really depends on the dealer and the market.. big dealers seem to negotiate best.

Yeah, I didn't think going for $36K on that particular truck (before TTL) was that far-fetched. Especially since January is a slow month and it is near the end.

A few months ago, I had a deal on the exact same config on a '17 (but with side steps) for $34,6xx with a moderate amount of negotiation but not as much as this go-round. I understand an '18 has more features (about $1K more) so I figured $36 was fair.

I think I'm going to head up to my closest dealership (with the highest volume in the area) that I bought my Sienna from and see if they can get one allocated for less than $36,600.

    Thanks again for your input!

Try to get a price before you go in via the email sales manager, or whatever they call their email person. The price I got via-email was twice cheaper than they gave me when I showed up. Pulled out the email and told them the starting price is lower and we still have some work to do. Embarrassed them both and they went a few hundred lower each. I'd also look at the NADA invoice pricing for your configuration and aim for invoice or below. There is about 7-800 in holdback after invoice on the higher trim models you can try to get some of too, my first dealer wouldn't go below invoice, the second went $300 below.
