How hard were those to put on? Was it a huge aggravation? They look nice.

It's all relative. Some would, some won't want to deal with flying cross country to try and make a deal on a car. I wouldn't.
It's where you live. My 911 Turbo was 20k markup in '96.
Take houses for example. In Midwest or even parts East Coast you could buy a house for 100k. Parts of West Coast or Hawaii, literally impossible.
In Hawaii, houses START at 700k and that is 20-30 miles from downtown Honolulu. In or near Honolulu or mountain with ocean view , houses START at over 1 million and these aren't fancy 5bdrm 4 bath 1/2 acre houses.
My mortgage is over 5k a month. Rent for a 1 bedroom condo is average 1700. a month. Yea, it's crazy.
Some would say , "Man, what I could buy with that kinda money". Actually on the mainland, a LOT. ..a whole lot.

Maaaan, you gotta stay away from the tourist hot spots. They'll rape you. EVERYTHING is over priced.
Maui is over run with old retired assholes that complain about everything.
Next time, go to Honolulu, Waikiki. Again, stay away from eating IN Waikiki. The food is not that good. In town , there's all sorts of food for every food connoisseur.

Fair enough. Sucks for you guys. I know what you mean. The wife and I honeymooned in Hawaii and I realized really quick how much it costs to get stuff out to you guys. Everything is so expensive.

Funny you mention the 911. When I first read your post I thought, "man I could get a really nice gently used Cayman for $55,000."

You could get a “ really nice, gently used “ 911 too.

Don't worry about it, man. Few grand difference--in 5 years, who cares? You clearly value your time, so not having to spend hours of back and forth with multiple dealerships, or even flying out to another state to get one just wasn't worth it. I could have paid a bit less if I drove another 2 hours, but wasn't worth it for me, either. Enjoy and have fun with it.

If I wasn't happy I wouldn't have bought the truck. People in other states just forget how expensive everything is here in California so it doesn't phase me. Heck even used Pro's were selling in the mid to low 50's so it just made sense to buy new.

is the socal markup really that bad? thats insane. what are new TRD OR 4X4's selling for with all options?

at that point you might as well fly to Florida to buy one and drive it back.

After Ca sales tax I paid 38,900 out the door white trd off road dcsb with tech package. So minus sales tax prob like 3 grand less. Some people in other states prob paid less here in CA we are screwed. That was the cheapest out of 4 dealers in my area.

Everywhere near me the pro was 10k over and they wouldn’t budge at all. They were perfectly fine with them sitting for months

Not bad, about 2 hours total, and that includes me figuring out cutting the covers, etc. so I could use the plastic back portion of the seat. Stock configuration just goes over the plastic, probably would have cut install time in half. I love them!

Totally anecdotal, but I have a coworker who bought a Sienna through Cosco. He swears it's the only way he'll buy a car going forward.

I tried the Costco program twice. Both times, I could get a better deal contacting the dealership directly. And didn't have to try that hard, either.

I bought through Costco this month. Pretty cool. Car was 34k sticker price and my price came down to 30,900.

Just don’t let them add on all the dealer items like true coat in Fargo .

Plus I got a 50% off parts coupon

I'm in Socal- Ready to pull the trigger on a 2018 Taco with no trade

Considering the Sport and the OR - 4x4 SB with Tech or Prem in White

This wont be a serious Off Road vehicle. Maybe very light towing, mostly street. Is the Sport package going to be a deterrent for resale later.
