You say ok, we'll if you don't think these prices are accurate, show me the invoice. Then you compare the 2 side by side. My dealer didn't say anything when I showed them the invoice prices, but I asked for them to show me the details of the truck. Everything was the same.

So all i have to do is get the window sticker and add up the additions and come up with an MSRP based on the price sheet and give them the fair price?

MSRP is not the same as invoice. You can take the features and packages on the sticker and use it with the invoice price list to come up with an approximate invoice price. However, some dealers have cooperative advertising fees and such that get added in at the regional level to what the dealer considers the invoice price. So just because a list on here says it is the invoice price, it doesn't mean it will exactly match what any dealer shows you as their invoice price. But if your dealer is quoting you an MSRP or MSRP+ price, I would make sure they have your contact info, then clearly turn them down and tell them you plan to go look around and buy the truck you want through somebody else. You will get a call within a day or two with them coming down off of their MSRP price.

Exactly, disregard the MSRP, and all the add on BS the dealers put to mark up the price. Just add up the invoice price for the Truck you want with whatever packages or accessories and that where you start.

Good luck pal. If you are patient and shop around you'll get the price you want.

You know I am in the same boat. I plan on ordering mine this fall. I pretty much agree with what you said above; however, I think it comes down to trusting the dealership when ordering. Some dealers can get what you what in a reasonable time frame. Others will tell we can get the truck in a reasonable time frame and they know they are lying. I see people on this forum who have placed orders and three months later they still do not have their truck. I guess the question is this Can a dealer give you a good deal and provide you the truck in a ideal time frame?

Funny how in this day and age everyone has a smartphone with a camera, but nobody posts a picture of their sales contract.

I agree. I had a friend with a contact at a dealership in Dallas, and when I started talking to them, I was up in the air about exactly what I wanted. They sent me several example truck builds and told me what their price would be (generally $1500-3000 below MSRP depending on the package), even knowing that they didn't have any of those builds on the lot or allocated and would be ordering them for me. I went to my local dealer with a mind towards getting a similar deal worked out. Instead, I got the standard hard sell "lets sell you this truck today" sales pitch for a truck I didn't want (DCSB), and was told that anything they had to order would be at MSRP. So when their sales manager texted me the next day and asked when I wanted to come in and sign papers (which I had never given any indication I was close to doing), I told him to stop texting me and moved forward with the dealer in Dallas. In the end, I probably ended up waiting longer than if I had tried to shop and fly to get a truck elsewhere. But I got a deal I think was fair and they are bending over backwards on the back end getting the truck to me, instead of making me come get it in Dallas.

I am in NH and had to go to MA to get the model and price I wanted. I got a TRD Sport 4x4 Double Cab in White for about $850 below invoice, which was around $2900 off MSRP. The dealer only had a $290 doc fee. I was able to get the 5yr 100,000 bumper to bumper from $1900 to $1050. I had to search around to get that price and model.

Man you guys on the east coast seem to get some really good deals compared to us out here in california.

Although, no matter what the state, I always do wonder if these 1800, 2000, 3000 (!?) below MSRP include a trade in or not....
