Just bought the truck, and I'm trying to figure out just how much lift I have, and how to correct the rear lift...I've got shudder from 5-10 mph, and axle wrap. I've ordered new u joints, carrier bearing, and carrier bearing drop(2.25" drop) from streetacos.com. I'm hoping this fixes the shudder.

I've calculated ~6.9" lift in the front, and 5-6" in the rear. BUT, I could easily be wrong; I compared it to a co-workers stock gen 3 TRD that has bigger than stock tires. I tried to subtract the difference in tires on both(the day I did this we measured from the ground), but I'm not sure if the gen 3 TRD is taller than an 07 "base" SR5.

I've got about 27.5" from center of wheel to fender flare in the rear, and 27.25" from center in the front. From the ground in the front I've got ~43" to fender, with 315/70R17 tires.

On to my questions...what do I replace the rear lift with? Are there leaf springs out there that can replace what I've got without having to use blocks? I've got AALs and blocks that are 3.5" on the front, and 4" on the back. I assume 4" lift from the blocks and 1.5-1.75" for AALs.

Pics attached of everything I think you'll need to help me get this figured out.

    Thanks!
    Scott

That rear block is huge! There is also to much preload on the Icons. I would put a new leaf pack in the back. Dakar or Allpro are popular. Turn the fronts down to match and it should ride excellent!

If I get Dakar springs, and take the blocks out, I'll loose 2-3"... :( I like the current height, and don't mind the ride quality. If I get AllPro Exp. springs and 1" block I'll need to drop the front about .5" I think, that might work. On the Icons, I have more threads below the nut than above it; How can you tell there is too much preload? Disclaimer: I'm new to lifts.

If there's more than 2.5" of thread showing, there's probably to much. If you like the ride, then maybe not.

Looks to be a 6" drop bracket lift. Hard to see it, but looks to have a drop bracket. The Icon coilovers up front appear to be cranked down pretty hard which may be giving you a little extra lift up front.

On the Icons I've got 1.5" of threads showing above nut, and just over 2" showing under the nut. Does that seem appropriate?

Do you know what factory measurement is from center of front wheel to fender flair on stock 07?

After a few more searches I found that the stock measurement in the front is 20". If that is correct I have a 7.25" lift!??!? That is nuts.

Looks like you have a 6" drop bracket lift. That's what the chunk of metal on the front that says "Pro Comp" is.
