It's hard to say. It has a lot of miles. I am also looking for one as well. But that seems like a lot if miles.

OK, would a bid of like $7000 seem fair?

What does the book say it's worth? I bet his reserve is probably $5000-6000. I'd say it all depends on how much you're willing to pay to get one. I looked a month ago for one, and the miles were just too high for me to consider getting one around here in Miami, so I got a 2014 5th gen instead, even though I was dying for the V8.

Considering it's a 2003, I'd max myself out to $6000 for that. I think you could find a 2007-2008 for about $10k with high miles too. It does look clean underneath, and the dealer has done a lot of detailing on it to clean it up. Probably repainted the bumpers too to make them look good.

See if you can backtrack the sale and see if there's a retail price listed for it anywhere in Arizona. That will give you an idea of how much they really want/need for it.

    Good luck with it

$7,000 seems like too much to me. $5,500 would be my max.

How are you liking your 5th gen? I want to get one so bad. But two car payments is not easy.

I only got it on November 4th, so I haven't had a lot of time with it. #1 thing I wish it had: a V8!!! But the power is fine. I drive it to maximize the MPG's to and from work, getting just over 17. They're so nice inside, the build quality is really good I think. The interior space is awesome, especially for a big guy like me. And I like all the features it has too. Mine has everything you can get pretty much except for a sunroof. I always liked the 5th gens since they first came out, but wish so badly that they had the 2nd engine choice.

I have never driven a 4th gen with a v8. Is it really that much of a difference compared to a 5th gen?

I think so. It's torque more than anything. I mean you won't be blown back in your seat or anything, but I still think it gives better power, as I prefer torque over HP.

But that same 4.7L in a 100 series doesn't feel very fast. Go in a Lexus GX470 if you get the chance, same as the 4runner but a different body really. It feels good in those too.

look for something 05-09, in 05 they switched to high compression pistons and boosted the hp from 245 to 270hp, plus in 5th gens they added a lot more weight and pollution control that robbed a lot of power from them
