How often are you changing your OEM oil filters w/ synthetic?

    i switched over to synthetic on my last oil change and know that now I can go longer on synthetic oil changes but i just don't know how long I should go with the oem filters. how long is everyone running theres for?

    Only way to be sure is to get an oil analysis done-Make sure the environmentals and wear characteristics are tracking properly.
    There are folks who use Mobil1 for 15K and just change filters and add a bit every 5K or so. Some AMSOIL users go a whole year without an oil change....so long OCIs are possible.

    i am changing my Mann filter's every six months or 7500 miles.......
    and my oil once a year.

    not sure what OEM is rated for.

    what oil you using?

    Mobil 1 + oem filter every 5k like the oem manual recommends.
    Maint. record updated on toyotaowners.com & in maint service book w/ truck w/ receipts.

    Every 5,000mi or 6 months like the manual says...

    Just because it's a better lubricant doesn't mean the filter works any less. Engines produce the same contaminants regardless of oil type, synthetic just happens to be better at suspending these contaminants.

    If anything, filters work *harder* with synthetic oil.
