I have a 2007 Double Cab V6 with a cab and am running 265/70/17 Falken Wildpeaks on it and they rub just a little bit at full lock. I've been thinking about upgrading the suspension for a bit since OEM suspension is getting old and pretty bad on bumps let alone off-road. I hope to go off-roading every week or two and want about a 1.5-2" lift so that I don't have to replace and add a bunch of other stuff. I've looked at a bunch of kits and Old Man Emu, Ironman, Dobinsons seem to be the ones I'm deciding between. I've seen a lot of threads on all of these so I know all of them will be good but I also was thinking of going for a 1-2" block spacer just to stop the rubbing and I'd keep them for a year or two until I'd get a full new suspension. I know block spacers won't help the ride or off-road but they are much cheaper and could hold me off for a while... Should I go with a block spacer? If so are there any "good" ones? If there is a clearcut best choice for a full-suspension especially with Black Friday sales right now let me know.

My budget is under 1500 preferably around 1000 or below for a full kit

I mean if your suspension is getting worn out/you want improved ride quality a spacer is only going to hurt. For $1000 could do 5100s w/ ome springs or eibach, 3 leaf AAL. I went eibach and like it. Had read about ome springs sagging after a year so stayed away from them but a lot of people run that set up fine.

I ran bilstein 5100 on my truck for a few years and loved them. Have since upgraded to Kings but didn't really have any issues with the bilsteins. Handled a lot of things I threw at it.

@Crikeymike has 15% off right now. He can set you up. I went with Dobinsons IMS/coils up front with HD rear leafs in the back. Couldn't be happier...……….just need bigger tires
I think this is a close price I paid. I bought at regular price.
    IMS - $500
    Coils - $180
    Leafs - $600
    Bushings - $70

How much better did they ride on and off-road vs stock?

I have a decked, camper shell, skids, and sliders. I needed the HD ones(880lb I believe). I have no complaints at all about the ride. I was damn near on the bump stops before the lift. Now I come from a TJ, so "great ride" has never been in my vocabulary

Yikes. I'm sitting on maybe 180lb (bed rack and rtt) in the rear.... Sitting closed to level. Ome just stink... Should've gone HD.... But dobinson looks promising

I know they have lighter rated springs. I bought a set of the 111's(I believe) for my camp trailer project

I will put a toolbox up front and still wanted a little room. I went 3ft from the bed to the tongue. It'll look a lot better once I can get some things added. I have thought about doing something for water where the gas tank was. My next priority will be a bed rack/RTT.

    Sup man, been a spell

Good to hear about the leaf pack been on the fence about ordering some. I am in the same boat, shell, cab rack, HC rear bumper and full size spare tucked up under the truck. Guessing the weight you normally carry the springs are not too harsh?
