    Ohio salt is bad, but nothing compared to PA. we get auction cars that are a year or 2 old that look like they are 50 years old

    My first car used to destroy those, but it was th Daytona Turbos that used to annoy us the most. "Shelby" my ass. I loved seeing the looks on everyone's faces. I had a 403 Rocket in a '79 Olds. It could beat almost anything...and use half a tank of gar doing it.

    I have yet to see a Daytona on the road anymore. Have any survived?

    nope. sold my 1st car and put the money towards my Subie. Subie was hit and run in the middle of the night, got it fixed, drove it for another 6 years, sold it to help pay for Baby Toy, Baby Toy is dad's now and I have Seymour. never been in a wreck....well except when the meth queen rear ended me. :angrygirl:

    Damage on Toy from meth queen - little scuff on the bumper

    Mine wasn't a Shelby, it was fairly quick, wasn't quite as fun a my buddy's Pontiac GTA. I think you're right about those Daytonas and Lasers, very few survived.

    A new bolt here, a new bolt there, a new bolt everywhere.
    I burned the engine up on my first car. It was a 1991 Nissan 300ZX TwinTurbo. I was street racing on the Freeway at 3AM and just kept going until the engine fried. Young and dumb learned quickly that it sux to be stranded at 3AM.

    1 more thing to add to the list....Say controversial things....Say stupid things...Just speak up and say SOMETHING......As PT Barnum is credited as saying, "There is no such thing as bad publicity". Any way you can make people remember who you are....

    Here's a hint on "how to be popular"...;

    Plan a meet. Pick a trail system that is so complicated the guy who mapped it has to use a map and STILL makes wrong turns...Then show up WITHOUT a map, but invite someone who HAS said map, and is extremely good at providing navigational instructions via radio, while you lead the group with everyone thinking you know the way!

    It really works! :thumbsup: And I'm getting better at it! :hattip:
