DA is not their strong suit. Megs has many fans here but I find there are better products out there. I have exactly 0 Megs products in my arsenal Even though I started with their polishes and compounds.

Where I see the GG6 excelling over the PC is that it has slightly more power/torque and a lifetime warranty. I've also heard more than once that it's more comfortable to use. I love mine (but haven't used a PC).

I also like the idea of a system approach (i.e. GG6, Griots backing plate, pads, etc). Not that you can't vary the pads, but right now the BOSS pads are hot. Great reviews, particularly with their new boss correcting creams.

Griots Garage 6" Dual Action Polisher. It's often abbreviated GG6. Note: I'd recommend using a 5" backing plate (and 5-5.5" pads) rather than the 6" plate that comes with the polisher. The 5" is more effective for correction work.

Guess there's a point when you can ask too many questions and just have to learn by doing. Thanks for everyone's help and getting me started on the right track.

There's never too many questions. That's how we learn! Personally, I love helping people, particularly with things I'm passionate about. Detailing is one of those things. I think most people feel similarly. So- ask away!

Did you find the Griots sub-forum? Some good stuff in there.
