yeah i imagine the same all prerunners and 4x4's are cold spec, i mean mine has been delivered to California in 2001 and stayed here its whole life, but i got a cold spec, just from the wash res at least, what else would be different.. feel like the wash res is something that differs in the 5 lug to the 6

Yeah, my 2.7 automatic 4x4 also doesn't have the cold weather package.

Toyota nomenclature, "All-Weather Guard Package". Optional equipment designation code CK.
The package consisted of heavy duty starter, battery, wiper motor and rain-channel windshield molding, $75 (in 99).

I forget what exactly it was but there was way to tell at a glance about the starter, beyond the #'s.

Yep and only the sides. Mine had it from the factory and the replacement glass kit I had installed did not have it. The glass company "said" they only listed the non version.

I wonder if it was a 95-97 thing as that's where my ABS is located? That's honestly the first time I have ever seen that washer reservoir there.

Well I take it back, mine is the cold weather starter. I was looking at the Denso part number a little too quickly. Noticed second time peeking at it that the Toyota number was different. My scouring of the internets for one is finished.

With the new glass I swore it had less wind noise with out the channels but you know how that goes. At speed it seems like a bit more water streams across the side windows from the front.
By now branches would have shattered it (plastic) so I would prefer not to have it.

Yeah, this would be the biggest indicator, I imagine. It annoys me, but I think I can deal with it. I'll have them add it if I ever need to replace the windshield.

My truck (although now in texas) Must also be a cold spec truck, because it's got (had) that windshield washer tank with a plastic cover behind it bolting it to the inner fender...However mines not there...Instead there sits intercooler piping :D

I'm shopping for a windshield washer fluid reservoir and discovered this thread. What is the purpose of the reservoir shield? To keep slush off? Will either type of reservoir fit a tacoma or do I need to go out in the cold rain to figure it out?
