Everyone I start my truck, the auto dim feature is on and I have to manually turn it off every time.

Is there anyway to permanent disable it?
I have dark window tint and somehow the rear view mirror still dims the mirror so much it almost impossible to see out the back. I rather not have auto dim.

    Two solutions come to mind:
    • Unplug the wiring harness on the back (losing the compass functionality)
    • Buy a replacement mirror with compass but without auto-dim

Hit the power button on the mirror everytime you start it or unplug it/remove fuse.

IF you manage to find the schematic, are you are good with probing, you can probably disable auto dim while leaving the compass function intact.

I just run a 300mm broadway mirror on top. Been a big fan of them for years.

I think there are two screws (maybe one) up in the sunglasses holder. If you take them out, the plastic piece pops out easily. That's where you can unplug the mirror
