I have the factory installed alarm on my 07 Tacoma. How can I disable it (and later re-enable it)? Same question for the door chirp when I lock and unlock it. One place I checked said "it's in the owners manual!!". Hmmm...not in mine.

    Thx.

I'm not sure what the factory alarm remote looks like. On my old Viper systems you pressed the alternate button and then the unlock button to unlock without a beep.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You could just pop the hood and disconecct the speaker. Tape the ends up so they don't get corroded.

doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of having an alarm...

The OEM alarm chirper is called a piezo or a piezo buzzer...I'm not sure on an 07, but on mine (03) it's right by the battery. Just disconnect that sucker and you should be fine.....hope this helps....
