might do you some good to feel the "harsh" MD winter compared to the cushy life out in AZ... what if we double the beer supply?

Okay, I'm doing the front 5100 install tomorrow and I wanted to triple check I have something correct.

The ToyTec 1/4" top plate spacer for my driver's side merely sits atop the completed coilover? It doesn't get tightened down between any of those components correct? I just sit it atop the coilover and then slide it into position to mount and tighten down the three bolts?

I plan on installing the FULL OME setup w/ 885s this weekend, but my current set up has a 1 inch spacer in the front, will the disassembly be any different, or any more difficult?

Had the spacer installed at firestone when I got the truck, and back then I knew very little about TW. This is going to be my first time ever doing REAL work on my truck. :) and I plan on renting a spring compressor from autozone???

I found the same thing. I found a 4 wheel drive shop that will do it for 50 bucks. Since its my first spring install (I have done a top plate spacer before) I feel more comfortable having the shop do it. Install starts in the am.

Bro', ALL those spring compressors look cheesy & weak, wait till you really start compressing the coil & then look at them, the all thread will be bowing, warping, creeking & you'll be scared shitless to turn them down anymore 'cause they look like they're gonna fly apart any sec. !!!:eek:

But thats normal , I've done mine twice & have done it for 3 other members, so far still alive....;)

Well had an automotive shop do the assembly of the front shocks, but my dumb ass didn't do the homework (study) and now I have to reassemble with stock ucas  until next week.

OK call me an idiot or something, but it seems like the front left side drive shaft came out of it's "socket" or something. Or is it that it won't go back in cuz the lower control arm is being pushed down by the slightly larger OME strut? and if that's the case, how do I push it back up enough to connect the ucs to the spindle?

THis is the right side driver shaft, no shock, lca is just hanging there (with support for brakeline of course)

So how about a June trip to do that lift? I'll be back in MD from Cali by then and it might be warm enough for you to drink some beers and help a fellow Taco owner out...
