How to level 4" Camburg spindles?

    Hey guys,

    after about 3 days of straight research I decided to go with the camburg 4" spindles for my 2012 access cab prerunner. However I DO NOT want the bro lean. What sort of rear AAL can I throw on to level out a 4" spindle lift?

    Also, whats the biggest wheel/tire size I could be able to run with 4" spindles, and would there be any benefits to TC UCAs?

    All pro 3" leaf pack...no ucas are needed and a 285 and maybe a 295.

    no rubbing at full turn with 285?

    also every spindle you see has a really wide tire stance. I don't like that look. Do you need to run wheel spacers or does the spindle push the tires out?

    The spindle pushes the tire out. You can counter that by the offset or back spacing of
    of your wheels.

    are you going to run stock rims? If so then you need spacers with 285s, they should nut rub either, spindles push the tires 3/4" on each side.

    not gonna run stocks. but not sure about wheels yet. so many to choose from!!!

    He is basicly saying that you can get a higher offset wheel so it won't stick out as much...or a 16x8 instead of 16x9..but 4.5" backspacing is ideal for spindles.

    sick guys thank so much. I guess i need to do some more homework on wheels/tires/backspacing.

    Although i'm still not 100% sure how 3" aal would level a 4" front... am I missing something?

    sorry for the noob question. This will be my first lift and after market wheels/tires. There is so much info on this site sometimes it hard to track it all down. Know of any trucks on here running spindles on stock suspensions? I would like to see the difference in the tire stance (push-out? back spacing?)

    From the factory your truck sits about 1.5" higher in the back than in the front. So in order to level out the truck after lifting the front 4" you would need to raise the rear 2.5-3". If your are goning to be running Camburg 4" spindles you will need wheels with a backspace of 4.75" or less in order to clear the spindle and the upper control arm. That means if you plan on running stock wheels then you will need wheel spacers. Good tire sizes with spindles are a 285, 295, or 33x12.50. It depends on if you want to do any trimming or not.

    The truck has a factory rake, so a 4" front to a 3" rear should be level...all pro also has a expo lea f pack for 4" of rear lift.

    awesome info man. Trying to stay away from trimming. Anyone know what the stock spacing on the stock wheels are? how far outside the wheel well with a 4.75" spaced wheel be? 3/4"?

    Im running Camburg 4" spindles with bilstein 5100s set a 0.85" with stock SR5 coils and an All-Pro Standard 3" leaf pack and im pretty much level.

    ahhh... ok makes sense. Now that I think of it i've read that somewhere before!!

    I don't even take delivery on my truck until monday... (it's been the longest week of my life) and i've already spent the next few paychecks!!

    your truck looks sick bro. Got any pics from the front to see the wheel spacing? You've basically got the setup I eventually want. May keep the billies at 0 though, and then I'm not running sr5 coils just prerunner stock. Your ride pretty butter?

    Stock wheels are 5.5" backspace and will not work with spindles, the minimum backspace i would run on spindles is 4.75". The problem is that there isnt a whole lot of wheels available in 4.75" backspacing. I have 17x8.5 wheels with 4.5" backspace and 285/70-17 tires and my truck isnt too wide up front, the rear tires are actually perfectly in line with the stock fender flares.

    Good to know. Did you have to do any trimming for 285s? Any rub?

    Haha, thanks man i appreciate it. I dont have any recent pics of the truck since i changed up the front end over christmas break. I had the original TRD Offroad coils with 138k miles on them and they started to sag so i put on regular coils and it picked the front end back up to level. My bad, I dont mean SR5 coils, i just mean regular 6 lug coils. All the 6 lug coils are the same except for TRD OR models which are progressive rate coils and tend to ride a little stiff when cranked with the billies. My ride is pretty dang smooth for 5100s and stock coils, my rear suspension is a little stiff at slow speeds but i like that i can use my truck bed to actually haul stuff and throw all my gear back there for beach runs and offroad trips without sagging to my bumpstops like the stock leafs. Now at speed:D, my rear suspension is awesome and soaks up quite a bit.
