Tires are grippy enough to drive upside down...apparently.

Looks great. I have the TRD fox shocks on my 2nd gen and looking for a bit more lift. What are the measurements hub to fender?

Just curious, because I’ve never heard good things about spacers and there effectiveness with functionality....but with fox shocks wouldn’t it be more ideal to get different coils to get your desired height? I’d bet the TRD pro springs are just eibach that Trd picked with the safest specs for factory design. Couldn’t one just get longer springs with the correct # rating for your rig for the front lift?

I’ve read on other threads of people trying to swap out springs but never finding the right length/# rating and just swapping out the whole suspension. The reviews about spacers not being good are all for larger spacers not these that are only .5 inches. Another alternative would be a preload spacer but people also have some bad reviews on those even though Toytec does make a 1 inch preload spacer for the bilstein TRD pro suspension and no one has really knocked on that.

This is the spring and part number. I have these on a set of pro fox shocks, 700 lbs spring rate made by eibach, it hardly gave any lift maybe 1/4 over the factory pro springs which are 650 lbs. If you try and get anymore lift than that with a spring you will be getting into the rebound zone of the shock, which is no good. The factory fox pro shock is a barrel spring, the eibach is not. The springs are very very close but not the exact same just FYI. They are the exact same length, they sit the exact same on the spring ends, but the spring gets closer to the body of the shock due to it being perfectly straight unlike factory spring which is wider in the center keeping the spring further from the body of the shock.

Btw these guys don’t respond to none Trd pro guys. So I figured I would since I’m not cool enough for this thread just like you.

Thanks for the info definitely helpful and thanks for the response. Definitely not cool enough to hang with the TRD Bros.

I’m just saying...fox uses eibach...the pro coil overs are essentially the fox 2.5 internal bypass. The fox 2.5 internal bypass can be lifted 2 inches...
My only concern with maxing out the lift is the performance of the shock travel..

The 2 shocks literally don’t have a single thing in common besides being shocks. The issue with putting spacers on these pro fox shocks is if your are using them hard and bottoming them out the shock will be bottoming out before the rubber bump stop which is putting all of the energy into the mounts. But it’s not an issue using a spacer on top of the shock if you are spacing the bump stop down so it will stop the shock before it completely bottoms out. You also can’t put a longer springs on these pro fox shocks because it will go into coil bind and really damage the truck and shocks. I pulled the shocks apart and cycled the suspension without the springs. I tried using 1/4” spacers on top and 1/2” spacers. The 1/4” don’t have issue but the 1/2 are an issue and require the bump to be spaced down at least 1/4”. Just figured I’d share my findings so nobody else has to deal wit the bs I did to in the end buy fox 2.5 resi with dsc adjusted which will solve my problems.

It’s not that I don’t believe you but how are they not the same shocks? You’d be implying that the shocks that are in the Trd pro are exclusive shocks....only found on the Trd pro Tacoma and nowhere else...
If the shocks are the same as I posted above, fox 2.5 internal bypass coil overs, but for a Tacoma instead of an FJ, then they can be set to a 2 inch lift...
    That is my confusion...

The shocks that you posted a pic of are nothing close to being the same as the factory Trd pro fox shocks. And yes fox built the pro shocks specific for the Trd pro Tacoma, 4 runner and tundra. All of which are different from each other and different from any other shocks. You can’t buy internal bypass shocks for the front of a Tacoma besides the bilstein, ome and king. The shocks you posted are actual 2.5 shocks which have a 2.4 working piston, the Trd pro shocks are internal bypass which have a smaller working piston closer to a 2.0 shocks because of the bypass design.

here's a link to the lock nuts. Essentially gives you more room for top plates as they do not have the built in spacer like the OEM nuts do.

So the rear fox pro oem shocks can handle the AAL’s without being overextended?

Had the Supreme 2” front, 1 1/2” rear lift added this weekend. Drives great, no noticeable diff other than the front end dips a bit less when braking.
