They're not perfectly level from the factory, after the lift the rear is 1/4" higher than the front

I went out and measured my stock suspension pro with 285/75r16 KO2s and it comes to about 36.75" Front and 37.75" rear for those interested in the change in height.

Im just joining in here and Im looking into a 2017 pro and like you, want to keep the stock suspension but raise it a little more. Couple questions- anyone have a link for what they're getting and what's needed? Are you regearing the trucks? (Im thinking 4.88s) I want to install some some 285/70r17 TA/KO2s with new rims that are on a -12 offset. it's mostly going to be a road princess/daily driver in winter/colder weather with a few off-roading and camping trips

Thanks for the Revtek lift review
I recently installed the same lift on my 17'. I'm having an issue with getting the top shock nut tight on one of the front shocks. I run out of threads when tightening the 17mm nut.

The only thing I removed from the original fox setup was the shock boot.

Did you run into this same issue?

    Thanks!

I know this is an older thread, but I'm bringing it up. This truck is amazing. Just to clarify, you mention this is the 3" 427AP kit?

Dumb question, but which of the following do you mean (or if anyone else can answer):

    - RevTek 1.5" kit (427 AP RV) (https://www.rockymountainsusp.com/lift-kits/suspension/toyota/tacoma/2016/427ap-rv.html?c=589&i=0)
    - RevTek 3" kit (40013 RV) (https://www.rockymountainsusp.com/lift-kits/suspension/toyota/tacoma/2016/40013-rv.html?c=589&i=0)

I imagine it's the 1.5", but just didn't want to go the wrong way.

Also, for everyone else in here, any thoughts on RevTek's now?

I've been trying to decide between the revtek and westcott, but am thinking of going with westcott now. Still on the fence

Sorry, I was incorrect when I said 3” lift, it is the Revtek 427AP 1.5” lift. I also went up in tire size to 285/75/16 (33s) and the combination of the lift and bigger tires raised it up to sit ~ 3 inches higher than stock (I think, never measured before and after to compare)

I’ve been debating whether to get the the Westcott Pro lifts kit now or wait for the Pro Eibach springs that are releasing in November (supposedly).

Does the Westcott lift require UCA or ECGS bushing?

After installing a Revtek 1.5" on my TRD Pro, I would steer you towards the Westcoast Design.
The Revtek looks great and seems to ride nice but the lift came with a list of instructions with a lot of basic stuff, but failed to mention one key element that forced me to replace 1 top hat and bushings after one trip off road. I'm mechanically inclined but only do lifts every 5-6years.

the instructions it says you may need to remove shock boots. It should say" you must remove shock boots" and failed to mention that there was a washer embedded in the shock boot which allows shock to rebound. This MUST go back.

So, off the shocks come again...

The plus side, I like how the truck turned out, 285/75/r16 fit great, rides about the same as before the lift and I can now swap shocks out in under 90minutes
    Hope this helps

I've seen this in every TRD Pro tire and lift thread about rubbing on 33"s or needing CMC etc... I think what's much more likely than all trucks being different is..

Not all 285/75/16s are the same.
Some people are running 17" wheels
Some people have no cargo in their truck ever(including variation in passenger weight. 150-300lbs is a bit different or even more if they roll with kids in the back)
Some people are highway driving again with no load, some people are on crappier roads or off-road with 500+lbs of armor and cargo.

I've been looking at 285/75/R16 BFG KO2s for months now, but I know id probably rub without some kind of correction.

I have a Can-Back softopper, and a steel bed rack, plus I usually have 135lbs of dog in the back and this year a 150lb RTT.

I've circled the options a few dozen times and I think I'm going for the 1.5" spacer up front and adding a leaf in the rear + whatever I need for drivetrain correction. I've already noticed I sag probably .25-.5" in the rear vs stock so mostly looking for a little correction, a little more clearance and a little more capability.
