My suspension guy has done a bunch of Taco upgrades and says he's shocked at how much nicer the ride is with ICON coilovers than FOX coilovers. He says Bilsten is the best value that he does a lot of but the ICON ride quality is still blowing him away...

Why? They can be run with just about any shock as long as the bolt pattern matches and your lugs are long enough

Ahhh, but has he experienced these bad boys?
The valving is progressive dampening and digressive rebound. I hear icons tend to be stiff do to a purely digressive dampening

Honestly don’t know. But when you look at spacers they all say not compatible with the pro

Top plate spacers are uniquely different. But the PRO shocks are weird because the coil is short. Not sure

You can but i would only use a 1/4 spacer on both sides for a half an inch and probably a 1" block out back

I have 2.25 spacers on the front of my pro and don't have any problems with it. I did change out my UCAs to a SPC UCA. My CV axels angles don't look bad at all. Got the spacers from 4 Wheel Parts. Everyone else said their spacers would not work on a Pro.

Those look cool man! He said the ICONs are so much more cushy than FOX or anything else he had used, and all he does is truck suspension... Mostly big ass trucks though - maybe he really liked driving that nimble Taco!

Oh I see. Maybe read up on ADS, supposed to be better than many other coilovers due to their unique valving and exceptional build quality. I can hit 7” rocks at 35mph and they take it like a champ. Just research a lot before you buy if you do end up upgrading

I called Toytec about their 2" blocks because I live 30 minutes from their shop and they said they won't fit on a pro...

Still no complaints with your revtek lift with the AAL'S???? Just wanna make sure its still running smoothly, really want to put this lift on my Pro and give it more height as well. Also id like to know when you put the lift on did it mess up any of your computer sensors in your Pro? just wanna make sure it doesn't screw all that up and void any warranties before I jump ship. If you could let me know this stuff itll be much appreciated!!!!

I've had mine on about a month now. Did some pretty hard wheeling and put new wheels and tires on. No new lights on the dash and everything works great still. Even had it in the dealer for an issue and they told me no problems with warrenty and that they install them on new pros sometimes. Do it but be warned you'll want new tires when you do.

oh yea man the set up is still amazing! no lights or sensors have ever popped up so you’ll be good to go! i actually just got back from my xmas trip last week and tested the set up at sedona, glen canyon NRA, and this BADASS trail right outside Albuquerque NM that happened to have 2 feet of snow on it (first time snow wheeling) and everything was gravy! i highly recommend this set up for everyone not wanting to spend 4k on a new suspension lol

Do you guys think 265/75/16’s would look okay with the Revtek lift? I drive about 2 hours a day on the interstate and I don’t want to put too big of a tire on it and ruin the drivability. I was considering Falken Wildpeak AT3’s because of the 50k mile tread warranty.

The truck just sits a little too low for my liking. Definitely less clearance than my other one because I got stuck trying to crawl under the skid plate . I had a ‘13 OR with a 3” and it was just about the perfect size, in my opinion. I had to regear it to 4.30 after I went up to 33’s though, although it was an automatic. My ‘17 Pro is a manual... aren’t they a little lower geared than automatics? I know mine is about 2500 RPMs on the interstate at around 70 or 75.

Also, did you need new UCA after the Revtek lift?

Really considering this lift, but I need to be realistic about my truck being a long distance DD. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Can always go with the 255/85-16. Gain your height still but not wide.

Yeah, I had 255/85’s on my ‘13, the tire height made it kind of a dog on the highway, constantly downshifting and gear hunting. I’m sure 285’s would have been worse. I did read somewhere that the manual 2nd gens still did alright with 33’s, I wonder if 3rd gens are the same?

I’m not opposed to 33’s but I’d rather be safe with 32’s and not risk being unhappy with the drivability and being forced into regearing it.
