I often put the seats in the back of my DC down when hauling gear that I don't want in the bed and don't want directly on the seats. I'd much rather damage the plastic backing of the seats than stain the fabric on the front. Lately though, I've noticed that plastic getting pretty scratched up from heavy rubbermaid tubs sliding around. I was considering putting some automotive carpet on the backs of the seats to protect from this... does anyone have any pictures or ideas?

    Thanks!

That's a good idea... I hadn't thought of that for inside the cab.

I've seen people do that to their subwoofers too.

I think he's talking about the plastic. Although, I would also recommend doing scotch guard on them.

Also a good idea, thanks. I suppose I should do that on all the seats regardless!

I tried driving with mine down because of the same thing, didn't want the gun cases rubbing on the seats. In about 30 miles that had to change. I drive with the seat damn near all the way back and with the seats folded down you can't do that. They got promptly folded back up!

How about some of that 3M clear bra material? Or cover them with a thin layer of rubber sheet using spray on adhesive.

You would have to dig around, but I saw somewhere that there is a liner kind of like a Husky floor liner that is made for the DC seats when they are folded down.
