How to reformat Mac Mini

Does anyone know how to reformat my Mac Mini. It's the older one from 2005ish. I have the original back up disc that came in the box.

After I back up everything on an external HD, how do I just reformat everything?

Shouldn't be any different than my imac. Throw the disk in there and reboot. Should start right up and ask if you want to format. It should also ask you if you want to partition and write zero's. I alway write 16x zero's, that way it removes all the old boot loader files and erases the entire disk and leaves nothing.
I used to format my imac on a monthly basis.
