    Hi,

I recently read a really well written good thread on how to tap into the 125v DC/AC converter in order to put an outlet in the cab of your Tacoma (my model is a 2015). Here is the thread. Check it out.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-ac-outlet-in-cab-400-watt-anytime-mod.322320/

I would like to put the outlet in the same panel that houses the cigarette lighter ports, a USB port, and three blanks. I need a little advice as to how to remove this panel. I can remove the heater control assembly above it and I don't think I would have a problem removing the center console underneath it. But, before I get started I thought I would try to get any advice from the forum as to how to remove this panel. Here is a picture of the panel that I would like to remove:

    Thanks,

you're going to have to tear up most of your paneling to get that off

    Ramon,

Your write up is totally and completely fantastic! Very well written, great photos, and an easy to understand step by step explanation of all the detail. I am really thankful for all the time and effort you put into your write up.. Luckily, last Summer when I first got my truck, I installed a rear view mirror with compass and temp gauge, so I am familiar with your presentation up until you remove the side panel near the floor and footrest. So glad I checked in with the forum before diving into the project. Your tutorial has help save me a lot of frustration and having to wear several band-aids the next day after completing the project. :)
