How To Remove CV Axle+Replace Front Wheel Bearing 2nd Gen

    A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
    Not sure yet. Gonna wheel my truck this weekend and find out. I'm leaning toward CV axle.

    I would lean more towards wheel bearing there isn't mUch in a cv axel that would make a metal on metal noise. Or try draining you front diff oil and check it. You would feel a different from driver to passenger if that bushing is messed up.

    couple quick questions here. Im about to replace my cv axle and i was wondering if i NEED to replace any seals/gasket and where would i get those? and also how should i push them back on if i dont have those tools n i also live 45min out of town on a dirt road so i cant really get it to a shop

    Im in the process of doing this right now but i dont know how to get the cv axle out! i yanked on it and eventually it broke right before the flat part and now i cant get the rest of it out someone help please!

    So what you are saying is that you broke the cv axle and only the stub shaft is still inside of the diff?

    where it enters the diff either use a slide hammer with a hose clamp or a crow bar or better yet a large brass punch
    there is only a c clip holding it in

    Not quite, you just pulled the bearings out of the housing, the cv should still be usable after you pack it with grease and put a new boot on.

    When i look up Differential Seal - 710419 (Timken) how come it says its for 95-05 tacomas?

    Will a 6 ton bench top press be sufficient to do this job or would one need a larger floor mounted press?

    I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
    You can give a try but my 20 ton had few struggle moments. Try putting some ATF fluid on hub where bearing races slide. It should help.
