how to remove grille on 4wd 96

    alright well i finally took off the grille today...on my 99 it was incredibly easy, on the 96 it has got to be the most aggravating thing i have ever taken apart on any Tacoma. i worked at it and worked at it and one thing led to another and i obliterated 10 out of 11 of the plastic clips that hold in the grille. there are just little black plastic pieces all underneath the truck. its a good thing i got 11 replacements:D after getting it off and examining it closer i realized that all i had to do was push down a little tab on the BACK SIDE of the grille, and they popped right out. i could have saved almost all of them if i had known that. but nobody specified exactly which part of the plastic tab to press, not even the guy at the toyota parts counter. so now i know for the future...neat

    Well lurk more haha, the only place I don't go is the 2nd gen section
