Ive tried using a popsickle stick, toothpick, plastic wall anchor, it just wont come off. Should I try a paint thinner or something?

    Are you sure that's 'derp?
How long was it on the rim? It looks to me more like corrosion.

Will that work better than Goo Gone?

Either would probably work fine. I just happened to reach for the alcohol when I took some off.

Go careful so you don't damage the factory coating.

I have used a pressure washer at a self serve car wash, it got most of it off. I have used simple green, did not soak it though, I will have to try my plastic bristle brush next.

Let it soak in wd-40. Should come off with some scrubbing after that

I used goo gone to remove an entire roof that was too thin.

Tried all of the above suggestions and goo-gone worked best.

Apply generously, let sit for 5 minutes, use a credit card to get the bulk off then just wipe the rest away.

Acetone worked on chrome, my dad accidentally split some on my chrome bumper and it ate right through it

I wonder if something like vegetable oil would break it loose? Maybe that and a good course pad? Might be worth a try since you probably have both available. If not then I would try the least aggressive first, like goo gone before I went with something like acetone. Just my 2 cents.

acetone will erase everything do not use. try gasoline but it may be some corrosion that has formed there if your plastidip was on there for a long time.
