Damn it all... I've had this truck 10 friggin' years and did know there was a light bulb in there.... I bot it brand new and it never worked....

Now I've ordered a 2016.... so I guess the next owner will have to fix this...

Wish I'd known this 10 years ago.....

Does anyone know what size the switch bulbs are? 3mm? 5mm? I want to order LEDs but need the size.

Glad I found this thread. Just picked up a white 2007 Double Cab Prerunner Off-Road a couple of weeks ago and was going nuts that the fog light and differential lock didn't light up. Ordered the bulbs from Toyota of Dallas on Monday, picked them up yesterday, and spent about a half an hour today changing them out. Picked up a couple of spares just in case. I am now a happy camper.

First of all, OP, thanks for the thread and info. I ordered a bulb for my foglight switch. It was around $5 from the dealer. The parts guy originally thought I needed to replace the whole switch. However, he checked and was surprised you could get just the bulb. He was pretty cool about it.

QNYLA, In the pic above, did you know the foglight switch was installed upside down?

Brilliant. I love the blue ones for sure. I can't stand the amber. I'm hoping one day to do the whole gauge cluster LED swap. Also want to do the steering controls, switches, shifter, and window.

Side note, does anyone know if the mirror adjustment switch is supposed to light up? (for the side mirrors). Mine doesn't, and I can't seem to find any info on it.

Anyone know the part number for the green bulb? My nearest dealership didn't know what the bulb was let alone the colour when I gave them the original part number...

I would highly recommend buying just the bulb from RadioShack and wiring it into the factory housing. Then just switch over the silicone sleeve and BAM! I did this last night. My oem one is orange but it's the same process. $3 for 2 bulbs at radio shack.

So my fog and diff switch go in and out randomly, but if I spank the dash they come on. Does that sound like a bulb issue? For l.e.d. replacements are t3 all I need as far as description when ordering online? Thanks in advance!

That sounds more like a loose connection. since the bulbs twist in, maybe they came loose and need to be tightened again.

Well I pulled both switches and messed with tightening them. Still the same. worked sometimes and other times not. I could tap the side of the switch a few times and it would light. I think I will try new l.e.d. bulbs.

Thanks to both the OP and totmacher for this. I went with the Radio Shack bulb; a cheap, quick, and easy solution.

Kinda off topic but bulb related maybe? My 1st dial on the ac/heater panel doesn't light up anymore. It's the dial that controls the strength of the ac/heater.

    Bulb issue??
