Shit that's to bad my base just built new dorms and for airmen. Share a full kitchen. lol but ya I'll be using an over for sure. I heard when baking the things you paint to put them in the oven for about 10 min on 150°

Oh to take them apart yes roughly 250-275° for about 8 min. I'm referring to when you paint the shroud, bezel and other things before sealing your headlights

Don't use a heat gun you will kill your housing or lens. You have to get these things HOT to separate. Its still a slight task when using an oven to get them apart.

Anyways like my guide says start with a skinny but wide screw driver and pry the lens apart. Once there is enough space use a crow bar/chisel or something much wider that will spread the lens from the back of the headlight when you twist it.

Continuing with a small screw driver will chew up the back of the headlight assembly.

x2 on this. I watched TRS video where the dude just goes straight hulk and rips the housing apart after baking it. My first one was nothing like this, pry bar, chisel, etc, but the second one just came right apart after more time in the oven

What did you say your time and temp was. Going to maybe start the breakdown tomorrow when its a little warm plus have to level my truck due to a slant at like 20-25ft from the wall...

Yeah, according to TRS best way to do it is hand tighten it then use a wrench when it's perfect

    Exactly
Do you think shrink tubing can with stand the heat of a 55w projector?

Lets hope so, see my last pic..

Painted the shrouds today, used bleach to strip the chrome off and it worked pretty well. Painted a bezel too

Mocked up demon eyes with 3 LED SMD strips and will likely paint the shields red as well.

    442D4585-51F5-4C92-99D3-54383F59119A-152_e1be0c53448e5a39c85259d6f730c1870a135d8c.jpg

    Halo mock up:

Here's how I mounted the halo. So what I did was push the wires out of the clip and push the wire through an existing hole on the gattling 2.o shroud, then used some heat shrink over the wires of the halo to keep them together

Great job so far. I go as far as drilling holes for my wires will get you pictures. My shrouds are painted and I put them in the over for a cure. Look good so far.

    Yeah!! Pics!!

I think I'm just gonna do silicone. I don't like the wire.... I have thin floral wire I was gonna use but IDK, silicone is so much easier and will hold better

You can just use sand paper and a popsicle stick. Or use this an excuse to buy one. I use my dremel all the time

Dude, harbor freight has a mini one for like $8 if you have one local...

Very nice to have, its about the size of a pencil soldering iron. Speaking of that, Mine is at my parents house!!!
