Mine just turned over 30k miles, so I swapped plugs this morning. Thanks for the write-up. The passenger side was a breeze, but it was a little tight on the drivers side. I didn't unbolt the bracket as the OP showed. Instead I used a swivel, and that worked fine. It took a little over an hour, so it's an easy way to save some cash and do it yourself vs the dealer doing it.

Changed my yesterday, really pretty easy if you follow directions. I bought my 05 DCLB 4X4 with 116,000 miles on it, now has 123,000. I am pretty sure that the plugs had never been changed before. Denso's came out of the passenger side and had a gap of about .058. NGK's came out of the drivers side and had gaps of .068+. The Denso's definately looked like they held up better over time. The prong on the NGK's were worn pretty thin as was the electrode.

We will see if it improves my mileage or driveability. I never noticed that the truck was running poorly before I changed them. And surprise, surprise the dealer was the cheapest place I could find to buy em. They came pre gapped at .040 from the dealer and yes I did check them!

Just changed mine it was not bad. Took about 1.5 hours total. Truck is like a new truck now. I think mine might have been original since I purchased the truck at 60K and it has 105K on it now and I have never changed them. The gap was up to .070 on some of them. Now time to change the LSD gear oil.

That's pretty much how mine looked! The NGK's either seem to wear faster or they just start out with less metal thickness on the prong to begin with.
