    Just changed my plugs at 44,000 miles (didn't change them at 30k :eek:) and they actually looked pretty good overall. The driver side ones looked a little worse and the gaps were pushing .060 while the passenger side gaps were all under .045.

    I did try myself change spark plugs, I gave up, I can't do it, because i not know how do it, I never do that myself, i get to dealer do it. I wish i have anyone can teach me, but hard because I not really have lots friends who know about fixing and such like lube, grease, change.. I wish i could do it! it save lots money!

    Start small. If you have never worked on a vehicle, find some basic things to do to gain experiance.

    See if there is a local member to you, to help out. If you have never done this before, its best to have some supervision.

    Is it bad that i just bought a trd cai with a smoked trd plexi glass cover just because i needed to get my spark plugs done and the stock intake is getting removed anyways.... Lol

    Well I just put my plugs in along with new air filter, Mobil 1 Synthetic oil, and Toyota oil filter.
    This was the first plug change at 30k. The gaps were like .054.

    I have some concerns and will have to see how things go. Before any of this work I was getting 20-21 MPG (4 Dr Pre-runner Off-road V-6) which is pretty good. Now I am getting spark rattle. If my mileage goes down I wonder if I should try to open the gap a little on them??

    I heard the same story from a friend that his driver side spark plugs were very dirty that they looked like dealer never changed them. Dealer has been changing his spark plugs before. He did a DIY at 140K. It's a Gen 2 btw.

    5/8" Spark Plug Socket
    Spark Plug Gapper

    Btw, dealer said the plugs I bought are pre-gapped. Should I mess with them?
