What treble setting are you all running on the HU with just the Subaru Tweeters and stock speakers? I find I need to crank the treble all the way while listening to Spotify over bluetooth.

I have not changed a thing on the EQ side. High and low favored equally over mid range. I have been very happy with the details / clarity that these have brought out. The stock ones were not that bad for output, but they lost a lot of lyrics and subtle instruments like tambourines and such. They do make me want to swap out the others though.

Just ordered the tweeters from BAMWholesale for $80 shipped. Will eventually swap out the rest, but this was cheap enough for now.

Not tweeters, full plug and play speakers.

Search by your truck for OEM fit speakers.

I did the tweeters today, door speakers are on order. Definitely a difference! Great budget upgrade.

Mainly because I'm cheap but also because I like to tinker I made my own mounts. I cut the three mounts that hold the magnet and voice coil as close to the magnet as I could. Bent those up and they held my new Kicker tweeter perfect.

Was able to bend them tight against the tweeter housing then run the nut on base up to hold them even tighter. I also took the stock plug off the stock tweeter and added it the kicker wiring so no cutting of the factory wiring. Cost me 30 bucks and about an hour of time. Huge sound difference.

Hey yall. Quick question. Anybody had trouble removing the A pillar on the driver side with the SRS airbag on the side? I want to do this mod but I'm extremely scared I will set off the airbag in the process. Just disconnect the battery and I should be good right?

Nope. There is no risk unless you are messing with airbag connectors. The SRS label on the pillar trim is just a bolt cover. You are not messing with any part of the airbag system.

Now, if you want a bit of pucker, this is fun:

Even with the battery disconnected, I was a bit nervous. Completely safe though.

Well, here’s another satisfied owner! Just swapped them out and damn do they make a difference. Music is 100x more crispy and clear and precise. This is going to make listening to music much more enjoyable. If you’re on the fence stop contemplating and do it!

If anyone wants OEM Tacoma tweeters let me know:D
