Just placed my order through BAM. The "Save 10" coupon still works, so $71.70 with free shipping.

Just finished the install of these and it definitely is a crisper and cleaner sound. It’s not a life changer but it’s definitely noticeable. Easy and fun mod to do with a small price tag

So step one, removing the A Pilar cover, are you piping off the airbag panel?

If by “piping” you mean popping, yes. Remove both A pillar panels and then pop off the tweeter panel.

    Popping, yes. Thanks.

Found a video and got it done. Was just looking for some confirmation before jabbing a screwdriver into a small panel marked “airbag”.

As far as the Subaru speakers go, they are a nice upgrade from stock. Not amazing but noticeably better. Definitely worth the $70.

so i just installed mine today. install was a breeze, did driver side first then played a song. The first thing i noticed was the hi hats and a nice clear sound. Did the passenger side then tested, closed doors and windows back up and turned truck on. The music is much more enjoyable now, and as others have described fuller. I should've bought these sooner!! If you enjoy listening to music this is a must have mod.

Anyone try ordering these lately from BAM? I tried to place an order yesterday and once I got to the confirmation page it said the order was completed but the order number was 0. I sent them a message to see what's going on but that was just a few minutes ago.

Got mine off of ebay and got 10 or so bucks off with ebay bucks, not as good as the Bam deal though. Anyway installed today, all went well and the speakers are a definite upgrade. The most difficult part for me was pushing in the little tab to get the plug out of the old speakers. Finally found a you tube video that showed where the tab was and the guy pushing it in. The rest was pretty straight forward, just need to be gentle prying off the plastic pieces. I don't have a plastic removal tool so I used my fingernail to make enough space to slide a slot screw driver in for leverage, without it being on the edges of the plastic making gouges.

Yeah. I tried 3 times to order this weekend. Kept getting the same message that I was complete and my order number was 0. Then a few hours later I would get an email saying I still had an item in my cart, did I want to complete the purchase? I emailed the company and they replied there is a bug in the system that has to do with shipping. They suggested I choose a different shipping method, complete the sale, email them the order number, and they would refund the difference in shipping. I did so, the order went through, and I got the refund for the $7 or so for free shipping. The save10 coupon worked as well, so I got them on the way for cheap in terms of $ and costly in terms of time and frustration.

I did the upgrade, it was noticeable although not as great as I thought it would be, could it be because I already had an aftermarket HU which had already noticeablly increased the stock sound?

I did the upgrade with the tweeters, first. Night & Day difference. What is interesting is there is a difference in volume between the regular radio, HD radio, Bluetooth Spotify feed, CD and songs I recorded from my CD collection onto my iphone. Hmmm.

Maybe the stock tweeters are not that bad but are being hindered by the stock HU, hence the small difference between on an aftermarket HU, or it could always just be me.. I had replaced my stock premium HU for an amazing android HU with a decent dsp a couple of weeks ago and instantly noticed a huge improvement in clarity and bass once I calibrated it.
