I'm shopping for winter tires. The ones I want, Michelin ice-x 265/70r/16, come with rims. Looks like the tires will fit but I've been trying to figure out if these rims will fit my truck. (Toyota dealership could not tell me).
I have a 2007 Toyota Tacoma TRD dbl cab long box 4x4. It came with 265/65r/17. I understand the 17 were an optional upgrade.
The VIN plate says 265/65r/17 17x7.5JJ
I found a web site that says
    TACOMA 4WD & PRE-RUNNER 95-UP 15x7 6x139.7 12x1.5 106 M
The rims I am looking at say several different things
Of the four rims this is what is stamped on them
    1st rim; 23 MR EW
    T 16 x 7 J DOT CMC 306 NEW 27
    2nd rim; 07 AP EW
    T 16 x 7 J DOT CMC 306 NEW 30
    3rd rim; 07 AP EW
    T 16 x 7 J DOT CMC 406 NEW 5
    4th rim; 11 AP EW
    T 16 x 7 J DOT CMC 406 NEW 17
First off will these used rims fit my truck? Or what can I do to figure it out?
I gather the 15 x 7 may be stock and the 16 x 7 from the used rims is the OE wheel size.
Do I need to worry that my VIN plate says 17 x 7.5JJ ?
    Any comments, Thanks Eric

The 17x7.5's come stock on TRD sports.

15" rims will not fit on any second gen tacoma except the 5-luggers

What you need to find out about these used rims is the bolt pattern (you need 6 on 5.5, or 6 on 139.7), and the backspacing or offset (4.5" backspacing to5.5" backspacing, depending on the tire size you want to run)

Do you have a link to these rims?

    HI thanks for your note
The only info is what is stamped on them .
    They are Tundra rims.
I bolted the front ones on no problems, no rub etc.
there is very little (1/4") clearance to caliper but other wise seem fine

I'll attach a pic tomorrow, seems I've hidden all my pics on windows7 and can't get them back yet.

Oops, what I meant to say was if they are OLDER tundra rims you are good to go. The newest tundras are 5-lug. I apologize.
