don't forget there are plenty of them on ebay also asking astronomical prices, be sure to put priced from high to low and check the sellers ratings before buying anything.
lots of scammers on ebay, but also tons of great deals.

I just bought 4x new km2 tires off ebay for pennies on the dollar compared to all the major tire websites.

did you solder the new one before putting it in? Did you also bend the 3 prongs?

can you confirm the part number you used and was it oem or aftermarket?

The thing is I soldered the old one and it only worked for a week then messed up again

What 3 prongs are you referring to?

I’ve been reading thru all the forums in here and different ppl have had different things that have worked for them

deff would want to solder it as well as bend the prongs and seal it up properly before installing

did your original one have water inside? if so did you check the condition of the vent hose

look up the posts in this thread by @jberry813 regarding the bending of the 3 prongs, IIRC they are in the first 10 pages of this thread.

the factory hose has the breather up high, but you could extend it some more yes.
extending breathers in general is a common modification on these trucks.

I did extend all other breathers I didnt know about this one. I did 1 water crossing and now have issues flashing light no 4 wheel engage. Strange thing was 3 other Tacoma did the crossing and I am the only one having these issues.

My guess here is that the water did not enter via the breather. For example in my case I found a huge gash in the hose much lower than the breather head, it was low enough that it must have let water in when i dunked the truck in some deep water crossings. I believe there have been a number of us here who have had water inside the housing without having any issues with the breather or the hose. I personally believe the seal on the housing itself is not sufficient, I recommend using something like rtv to seal it up nicely after opening it up soldering the points and bending the prongs.

Bent the prongs up & no luck.

I actually tested out the actuator & it engages when it’s not inside the diff

Maybe thinking it’s the sensors on the transfer case actuator because we can hear the front actuator & the transfer case one are working
