How to turn off Navigation

Can someone tell me how to turn off the navigation system? I often use it to get out of the city, but once I'm on the freeway, I don't need it from there. I just can't find a trip end button. I've leafed through the instructions an it seems this system will do everything but take the stains out of your seat covers. But I didn't see how to turn it off. Thanks for any help.

 

Hit the voice button and tell it to cancel route guidance.

 

Edit route. Delete route.

 

If the route I am taking is the saved "HOME" route, will it delete Home from the memory?

 

negative.

Its just deleting the current route not the saved route.

 

or hit destination - then look for delete destination on top right

 

Goto "options" while in guidance and then select "pause guidance" tab towards bottom of options.

 

Voice control: "Cancel guidance."

 

Or go to settings, then the display menu and choose audio, eco or several other choices to display other than navigation.

 

I just say "end navigation".
