I just bought a 1988 Terry Resort 22 ft trailer and it came with 4 aluminium jack stands.
I am just wondering how to use them and what are they for?
Can the trailer rest entirely on those 4?

Jack stands are to be used as stabilizers and to level the trailer when parked. There should be a jacking point at all 4 corners. The 4 stands support a lot of the trailers weight but the tires should still be on the ground and supporting some of the weight also, same with the tongue jack.

When you park the trailer, chock the wheels and unhook it from the vehicle. Then lower the front end slightly, place the rear jack stands in place. Raise the tongue jack so the front end comes up. When level, place the front jack stands in place and lower the front onto the stands. Optimally, you want to get the trailer level side to side and front to back.
