How to wire high and low lights so they come on at the same time?

I have read that HID high beams take some time to get bright. So I wanted to wire the HID low beams so they are the only ones running in low beam. And when I turned on the high beams they low beams and high beams run at the same time.

Anyone know how to do that?

I was wondering the same thing. I'm sure there is a way. I think wheeler's sells a bright box or something to accomplish this for the 2nd gens. But I couldn't see spending the money if you could wire something up yourself.

So any size diode to buy? Can you get them from Radio Shack?

How do you get to the wires in the light stalk?

It was hard to read your diagram, so color wires am I trying to find?

Wire a bixenon harness to your Lo beams. They will stay on when you flip on your hi beam

 

One thing I will add on this: if you look at how the high beam indicator is wired, you'll notice it's wired to the low beam side of the system. The reason for that is because when the high beams are on, there is no current flow through the low beam ground. The low beam current then flows through the high beam indicator light (path of least resistance). If you install this diode, the lights will work the way you want, but the high beam indicator won't come on.
