This is How To: Remove the air vents and A/C unit faceplate.

    For the A/C unit faceplate:

Use this link to take out the A/C unit and stereo.

    http://*********.com/tacoma/installation/stereosystem/

Once you have the Stereo and A/C unit out (un connected and all). Flip over the the A/C unit and you will see 7 tabs (3 tabs on top and 4 on bottom). Be gentle with these because they can break easily. I would recommend taking a small screwdriver and prying off the tabs.

There are 4 screws as well. Unscrew those and the faceplate should pop off.

For the Air Vents (next to the stereo headunit):

This is where things get alittle confusing without pictures. I will have them tomorrow.

Pop out the 2 black triangles below the vents. This can be done with simply pushing down on the top while pulling down or Take the small, narrow screwdriver and gently pry off.

The Air Vent trim is held together by plastic clips like you would find on the center console trim (around the gear knob).

Get a philips screwdriver and unscrew the screws above the odometer. This is where things get confusing.... Lift up on the dash while pulling the trim towards you (if your in the drivers seat). I should come out of the "track" and pop out.

I will update this with pictures tomorrow. If you havve any questions please let me know.... DONT QUOTE THIS WHOLE THING, PLEASE!
