Hi, all... I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks after getting my (1st) Taco and I must say y'all have an awesome place here.

I've seen a few folks from the Carolinas here but none from my town... there's usually the obligatory "um, how do you pronounce that?" (Few-kway Vuh-ree-na) but for general reference it's about 15 miles SW of Raleigh. While I live in NC now I'm from Texas and will always call the Lone Star home. But with my daughter being born here and having lived here for 6 years now I guess I've settled in. Time for me to start looking for some Meets around these parts.

I love my truck... it's a bone-stock (for now) 2009 PreRunner DC LB TRD Sport with Tow Package in Speedway Blue. Or, as my daughter calls it, Slurpee Blue. :D I waited as long as I could for falling rebates and other incentives and finally pulled the trigger at the end of May... I couldn't pass up more than $4k off. Now that I have her I realize what a deal it was!

I'm currently pricing some stuff and likely will have a "Help me spend a Grand" link coming up in the next day or two... from what I've read so far there's no shortage of awesome ideas here.

I'm looking forward to meeting many of you over the coming months. Until then, keep moddin'!

    Thanks for the warm welcome!

Phynyx - San Antonio... that's where I was before coming to NC. I miss two things (other than just being in Texas) - good Mexican food and HEB!

^ Unfortunately I didn't see the FJ Power Wheels until we'd bought the Jeep... oh well. She'll be big enough for a real truck soon enough :D

If anything, she'll probably take after Mommy who was driving an '88 full size Blazer with manual locking hubs when we married. She still misses that truck to this day... and so do I!

Bone stock  But you've got a fully loaded Tacoma! I know, I know, you meant no mods. How modest. LOL! You'll fit right in. Young blood. A pledge. The Alumni will take care of you.
Either way, welcome back to college... haha Welcome to Tacoma World.

w8n4mud - yeah, you're right. Although, I compare it to my computers... no matter how nice they look with bound cable runs, custom lighting, chassis paint, etc I still consider them "stock" until I overclock the be-jaysus out of them. :headbang:

I'm not quite at that same level for working on my truck but I think I've found a pretty good study spot here... let the learning begin!
