Just picked up a brand new (had 32 miles on it) 2009 Tacoma TRD double cab. It's not my first 4WD but it is my first Toyota, and being that it's new, it's hard to find certain parts sometimes, so I'm gonna use the heck outta this site to try and find some answers! BTW, I also own a 2004 Yellow GTO puttin out around 425 hp at the flywheel, and I've owned multiple vehicles that I've done lots of work on other than just the GTO ranging from an '89 Mitsubishi Galant front wheel drive I got 320,000 miles out of to a 94 Monte Carlo Z34 pushin almost 300 hp all motor (that's a 3.4 V6 for anyone who didn't know) to the lastest vehicle I'm getting rid of, the 90 Galant GSX (AWD model) sitting in my driveway getting used for parts on a friends car. So yeah, I have some mechanical know how that I am more than happy to contribute where possible. Glad to be here, and hope to see some of you out on the trails!

The GTO isn't going anywhere without me driving it lol. Yeah, deffinetly keeping it. In about a month I plan on getting a cam kit and new intake mani which should put me around 480-515 under the hood. Right now it's running about a 12.9, I want it to just barely touch 12 flat, so that way I can do races but not have to worry about a roll cage. The truck.... well, not quite sure about the specifics, but it will eventually wind up as an expeditionary vehicle, i.e. mild lift, big tires, upgrade drivetrain but probably keep the IFS, just get a bigger diff for the bigger tires, stuff like that. My buddy just picked up an 08 FJ so, we are kind of swapping ideas on what we are gonna do. My big thing is keeping it both off-roadable, and on-roadable since I won't just use it for wheeling, but also for trailering the goat.
