    Hey folks, just sayin' hi right now. I've got a 2015 Silverado 1500 that I'm getting ready to sell in favor of a 2nd-gen Tacoma. I love the Chevy but I want something sportier, with four-wheel drive, and I'm here for knowledge / ideas for a Tacoma. My friends think I'm nuts, but I tell them that while I'm mostly happy with what I've got, if I sell it and buy something cheap, then spend the difference on parts, I'll have exactly what I want.

    Welcome! I can promise you, as long as you're ok with downsizing to a midsize, you won't regret getting a used 2nd gen. Since you have a 15, I wouldn't trade for anything lower than a 14. And yes, you'll have plenty of money for mods. Also understand, unless you spend most or all of that mod money on finding and purchasing a supercharger, you'll probably not have as much get up and go compared to what your trading in.
