I've always been a fan, just never saved up enough cash. my brother bought a 02 tacoma is freshmen year in college. and i love it. so i finally bought my own, i have a 06 tacoma prerunner xcab 4x4 V6 with a 3 in. lift and 33 in. tires. ill post pics soon. i love the truck but gas is killing me. im only averaging 15.5 MPG. does anyone have any suggestions. ill be taking out the secondary filter this weekend, but from what ive read so far on this site it didnt do hardly anything for my fellow tacoma owners with a V6. im stationed in Norfolk VA if anyone wants to go muddin let me know.

Hope you are enjoying the truck. Ease up on the acceleration and you'll get better mileage. Welcome to TW.

Welcome to TW! Three things that are probably hurting your fuel economy - lift, tires, and lead foot. Still ~15 MPG is pretty good considering those factors. Themaster is correct. Ease up on that foot, and your mileage will be a bit better.

oh im light on the pedal, i drive slow unless im off roading. im gonna try to burn through this next tank without doing any off roading, then ill get a better idea. I'm also looking at getting boiler exhaust and a cold air intank. plus ive been looking into that ECO fuel system. i saw some input on the ECO system on here, but no one ever posted if it worked for them or not. if anyone has input for me im all ears.:D

We are still testing it. So far it hasn't been the most promising on my 2.7L, but maverick491 is testing it on his truck right now. His is a 4.0L, which most people on this site have.

    Cheers.
