Seems like a good deal to me. Any naysayers? I'm sitting here ready to click buy but wanted some last minute opinions. I had ordered Bilstein 5100s with the AAL and OME 885 coils, but that got all FUBAR'd so now I'm going a step or two up.

If I were dropping that $$ on a lift, I would get a new pack and ditch the AAL. Just my .02.

What new pack? And why? I mean, I know you mean a new leaf pack, but which one specifically? Not arguing. Just not sure what the advantage is.

It's from Headstrong Offroad. It's not the deal from their site specifically. I talked with the rep on the phone and she gave me a good deal. Said they had a sale and it was over but gave me sale prices.

Depends on what type of driving you do. Towing? Hauling? Off road?

I went with AAL at first and after about 3,xxx miles, I started to sag really bad. Just installed Dakars with the D29XL about 2 weeks ago. Wish I would have gotten the new pack off the bat.

Is that with IVD coating? That added $100 to mine, you still got me beat by $100 though. May wanna get the coating if you are near the coast.

Daily Driver with the occasional load of trash to the dump or furniture to help a friend move, etc. I don't tow or haul anything significant, and it'll see some dirt roads occasionally, but nothing too crazy.

I would go with Wheeler's 3 leaf pack. AAL is a band-aid. Just my opinion; it's your truck

Love Headstrong though. Awesome Customer Service and great prices.

I'll check into that and see if it's a better option than the AAL. Any others want to chime in on the pros/cons of the AAL vs a new leaf pack?

Thanks for the heads up btw.

Edit: A quick google search seems to indicate that the wheelers 3 leaf pack is essentially the same thing as the Icon 3 leaf progressive AAL. What am I missing?

He must have thought you were getting a single aal. You should be good with a 3 leaf AAL. Might wanna take out your factory overload for a smoother ride.

If that includes sales tax too, then that is a good deal. At my prices with the TW10 discount applied, I'm coming up with $1,978.98 total plus 8% tax would be $2,137.30. I'd also recommend the IVD coating if you're near the coast. As for the AAL, the Icon/Wheeler's are both 3 leaf progressive packs that replace the factory overload leaf, and it sounds like for what you do, it would be just fine, and certainly better than a block!

It seems like a good deal to me but then again I am looking into mid travel.

Dont mean to hijack the thread but had a question on the icons. I was talking to headstrong about their bundled icon package (icon extended coilovers, icon UCA, and icon 2.0 rear shocks). I added i planned to go with the OME Dakars to which they replied the packaged rears wouldnt work and i needed to get extended ones. Robert said they come in 26" and 28" and recommended the 26" length.

First i had heard of that so just curious if that was correct or not?

If that's all you do, a AAL is enough imo.

That's a good deal for it all.

Order placed. 3 week or so back-order on the front coilovers. I'll update with pix and review once installed.
