    I eagerly await your findings. An fj intake will be much easier to bolt up than the tundra I think, especially since the trd intakes are out there and K&N basically just copy/pasted the FJ cruiser intake from the dual vvti fj.

    Funny. I was just eyeing a 2grfks air filter in a turd gen yesterday. Couldn't measure the diameter at that time tho. Not sure if the sensor would be compatible either.

    i forget who it was, but stock n/a'd truck is getting dyno'd before n after a JustDSM baseline tune on may 9th if im not mistaken.

    As far as the dual vvti 1gr.... they definitely have a bigger throttle body vs our single, not sure about the maf tube or its calibration.


    FYI, got some more miles underneath my belt with the original JustDSM tune (without vvti changes, one change at a time people!), I can honestly say the truck feels more "happy". Its not just the different mapping of the pedal to throttle body, the truck pulls smoother through the rpms, no mid range dips like before, and not as much dropping off as far as pulling at the upper rpms, at cruising speeds it feels like weight has been lifted off the truck speed changes are easier and happen quicker. The whole truck just runs smoother!!!

    Needless to say this is DAMN GOOD! Well worth the cost of entry, and we (lets be honest.... JustDSM and the few others) are still doing amazing work at continuing the progress.

    Going to push the JustDSM v1a tune with vvti changes + some of my shift point changes this weekend (ya ya ya this goes against my one change at a time thing). If i like what the shift point changes have done ill post up what I have done.

    Good call @Murphinator!
    I actually looked into this about a year and a half ago but never got the parts. Now I am ALMOST positive if you get any dvvti 1GR-FE intake, TV, and adapter, it will bolt right in. Copy paste the MAF tables and you are good to go except one major thing! The dvvti maf's are different than the vvti mafs most of us have so wiring up a pigtail for the new maf is still required.
    I think intake opening is 3.25". The Tundra is 3.5".

    So I bought a plastic welder, cut the Tundra intake at the bend (also where resonator box is), massaged some material and plastic welded it back together.
    I didnt clean it up at all but someone with plastic skills could make it look very clean. I'm not worried about it as it is still a temporary intake that I will use until I get caught up with some exhaust work!

    I was in a hurry getting the blower back on and didnt install it. Now the plan is to follow in @loginfailed's path and log afr + boost through the MPVI2.
    Capturing boost in a log could show belt slippage so I'd like to test the theory.

    i just got my tuner and when i read my ecu it says that the info im getting is not from my truck but off the internet. is this normal? i have the factory TRD tune. id love to get a better tune. im running all stock SC stuff at the moment.
